Monday rolls around which means the first official practice of dance club. The main thing he missed about his old university was his dance team, so he hopes that this will be up to par. Luckily Hoseok seems to be a good dance captain, so he’s looking forward to that.

On the other hand, he doesn’t know anyone, save Hoseok, if he can even count that as knowing someone. Also the beautiful boy he deemed an angel was also going to be there. So Jungkook couldn’t decide if he was more excited or nervous.

He steps into room 102 and notices that he’s 10 minutes early. He recognizes Hoseok talking to someone and decided to say hi. “Hoseok.. hyung?” Hoseok whips his head around and beams at Jungkook. “Jungkook?? Ahh welcome!! So happy you’re here!!” And envelopes him into a hug.

Jungkook is caught by surprise but returns the hug and appreciates his warm gesture. He gestures towards the guy he was talking to and says, “This is Jimin, Jimin this is Jungkook!”

They exchange greetings, and Jungkook asks , “what kind of dance do you guys usually do?”, and the three of them drift to a natural conversation.

Taehyung and Yoongi meet at the latter’s dorm once again, so they could go to dance club together. “I can’t believe you signed up Tae, you’re gonna be so exhausted..” yoongi says with a sigh. “Ahh hyung, are you worried about me~~”, Tae asks cutely.

“Ughhh, no it’s bc I’m the one that’s gonna have to take care of you,” yoongi rolls his eyes. Tae chuckles and says, “yesh whatever, don’t pretend like you don’t like spending time with me”.

He briefly looks at his watch and realizes they’re gonna be late, “oh my god hyung, we gotta goooo!!” He pulls Yoongi’s arm and drags him as they quickly make their way to the dance building.

Yoongi and Tae walk in panting, seeing that everyone’s begun warming up.

Hoseok glares at them and walks toward them.

“This is the first practice and you’re already late, shame on you guys!” Yoongi rolls his eyes at that and responds, “cmon we’re only 5 minutes late”. Hoseok tells them to join the warmup and goes back to the front of the room.

Yoongi and Tae walk to the back of the room where there are empty spots. Yoongi suddenly makes eye contact with Jungkook who’s turning his head in his direction while he’s doing his stretch. Jungkook smiles, and Yoongi is frozen in place.

He takes the place next to him and begins to copy his stretch. “Hi I’m Jungkook”, he says to Yoongi over the music.

“I’m Yoongi”, he smiles back. “And this is Taehyung”, as Yoongi moves to show Taehyung.

Taehyung waves and smiles, and Jungkook does the same. They both acknowledge each other’s good looks in their own thoughts. They continue to stretch when Hobi yells, “okay guys find a partner!” Yoongi looks between Tae and Kook.

Yoongi looks between Tae and Jungkook for what feels like 5 minutes. Who was he supposed to choose?? Right as he was about to open his mouth to say something, he hears, “Yoongi hyung!”

He whips his head to the voice and sees Jimin skipping his way. “Hyung you’re gonna be my partner”, he says with a smile and grabs Yoongi to the left of the room.

Tae scratches his head as he sees Yoongi being pulled away, and makes eye contact with Jungkook.

They’re pretty sure everyone else has partners already, so they settle for being each other’s partners.

“Ok guys, today’s our tryouts for the showcase! You don’t have to participate or audition, but we encourage to stay and learn the dances anyway.

We’ll be teaching the small group dance and solo today so we can get those out of the way, and then you’ll audition with the part that we learned today. Any questions?” Hobi asks. Jimin raises & beams while he asks, “Can we audition for both the small group and the solo dances.”

“No Jiminnie, you can only do one. Everyone is invited to do the big group dance though, so the most dances you can participate in is 2. Ok let’s split up! Those who wanna learn the small group dance follow Shownu to studio A and those for the solo follow Taemin to studio B!”

Everyone walks towards the designated studios, naturally more people head towards studio A, as a solo is much more burdensome. Jimin, however, struts his way to the studio B determined to get that solo.

Jungkook hesitates for a while before he heads to studio A, where Taehyung is already. Both look around for Yoongi, but can’t find him.

After around 5 minutes of dance practice, Yoongi runs in out of breath.

The main room is empty but he hears music coming out of the studios and walks into studio A. Hobi notices and walks over to yoongi and whispers, “hyung, as punishment for being late, you have to audition for this song.” “What??” Yoongi asks confused.

Hobi shrugs and says, “better pay attention hyung, you missed a lot!” Yoongi sighs but decides to pay attention to the best of his ability. When he looked up, he sees Taehyung smile and wave at him. Yoongi smiles and waves back and out of the corner of his eye, sees Jungkook.

Jungkook also smiles at him, which Yoongi returns. He shakes his head as he doesn’t need anymore distractions because he really needs to learn this dance.

After about 30 minutes, Shownu finishes teaching the chorus of the dance, stating that it was time for the tryouts.

Jungkook felt confident he was going to get a spot. Taehyung was also fairly confident as he picked up the dance quite quickly. Yoongi was confused about the beginning section as he missed that part, but otherwise was ready.

He didn’t want to actual tryout regardless, but when he turned his head and saw Hobi smiling at him, he gulped and decided to not upset him.

“Ok everyone get in line. We’ll be dancing by fours!” Shownu shouts.

Jungkook and Taehyung ended up dancing in the same group, and Yoongi was mesmerized by both, in different ways. Jungkook had sharp, confident moves while Taehyung had smooth rhythmic ones.

Hobi was in the next group; Yoongi rolled his eyes as he thought, “if hoseok doesn’t get it, then who the hell will..??”

Finally, it was Yoongi’s group’s turn to dance. He gulped but it was over before he knew it.

He was sure he got all the moves but unsure how confident or accurate they came across. Yoongi didn’t see but, Taehyung and Jungkook were completely focused on him, practically gaping the entire time.

“Alright we’ll review this footage with all the dance captains and will upload the list by Friday. Great work guys!” Shownu said, and there were some cheers as a response. Before anyone else could reach him, Hobi threw his arm around Yoongi, “see hyung! You did great.

You might actually make the cut,” Hobi chuckled. “Goddamit, I don’t want to. I just didn’t want to embarrass myself. Aren’t you a captain, can you just not include me? And why the hell do you have to audition you’re obviously gonna get it.”

Hobi chuckles again, “We’re gonna review everyone’s dance objectively, so if you’re good you’re in. Also, it’s more of the other dance captains judging if I fit the song, rather than my actual dance ability.” That actually made sense, Yoongi thought as he rolled his eyes again.

“Hey hyung, you did great!” Tae beamed as he walked over. “No I didn’t, I barely even did the moves,” Yoongi said bluntly. “Nooo, I think you—“ Tae was cut off by the sound of his phone. It was manager Sejin.

“Ah gotta take this, see you Saturday hyung”, Tae winked and left as he picked up his phone. Yoongi blushed ever so slightly.
“Hyung!!” he hears Jungkook. God, if he felt like everyone was calling him today. Yoongi turned around to see Jungkook holding a huge box of chocolates.

“Hyung, here these are for you! I wanted to ask you on another date. I know the first one was kinda lame but I promise this one will be better!” “Ah you didn’t have to get me anything Jungkook-ah. And sure if you insist, I’ll let you take me out again.”

Jungkook chuckled, “good! And don’t worry I’m bringing the motorcycle again.” Yoongi coughed out of embarrassment.

“So Saturday?” Jungkook asked. “Oh I can’t Saturday..” “oh then Sunday?”

Yoongi wasn’t sure if it was “date etiquette” to go on two dates in a row with two different guys. He doesn’t know if that’s a rule or whatever. So he agreed and accepted the chocolates, promising they’d text each other before the date.
Yoongi walked back to his place, sighing.
