JUSTICE IS ON THE BALLOT!!!

Joe Biden selects Senator Kamala Harris to be his vice presidential running mate #ForThePeople #JusticeIsComing #ExpectUs #BidenHarris2020 šŸ”„šŸšØšŸŒŠšŸ„³ twitter.com/i/events/12892ā€¦
Is it too soon to fire up my #DraftKamalaCommittee šŸ’…šŸ¾ evergreens or nah? šŸ§
Might as well start with the Joe v. Kamala debate circa June 2019, because thatā€™s when the White punditry class collectively lost its mind and why theyā€™re still struggling so hard to understand why Joe would choose a running mate who challenged his White privilege on live TV:
What they couldnā€™t (and still canā€™t) get over was Kamalaā€™s unwillingness to go easy on Joe or give him a free pass for antiquated ideas, the way mainstream White culture has so routinely done for WM in this country forever, which also happens to be how we ended up with Trump. šŸ™ƒ
Apart from individualized fragility in response to seeing Joe confronted, the folk who felt looped into Kamalaā€™s critique projected their own discomfort onto the White electorate at-large and tried to decide for Joe that Kamala was ā€œunsafeā€ b/c sheā€™d engender White resentment.
Rather than emulate Joeā€™s strength in tolerating and growing from constructive critiques for better allyship, they opted to paint her as an unlikable, angry Black woman whoā€™d scare White voters away from joining the tent by championing civil rights and social justice.
Most of all, this pick speaks to the reality that the White punditry is encased in a bubble unpierced by marginalized voices. They tried to convince us Kamala wasnā€™t popular with Black voters & didnā€™t bother to check-in at the source or give a real damn about marginalized issues.
Not only did they wrongly declare Bernie the frontrunner & apparent nominee before Black voters got to vote en masse, they wrongly assumed a beef that wasnā€™t there for the purpose of denying a Black/Asian woman a seat closer to the head of the table and the power to make change.
Thatā€™s the part we need to ponder for the path forward: the reflexive and inevitable backlash to broken glass ceilings and how weā€™re gonna armor up for it now in preparation for the onslaught ahead of us. Donā€™t just vote like a Black woman, learn how to defend/protect US too.
Theyā€™ve already thrown the gauntlet at Kamala and she was already battle tested for it anyway, but the Veepstakes sewage weā€™ve been swimming in for months proves that equality STILL feels like oppression to the privileged and they wonā€™t stop slinging shit even in an apocalypse.
I say all this to say neither Joe nor Kamala are ignorant of how America/the punditry class work and thatā€™s why theyā€™re modeling intersectionality, reliable allyship and collaborative change despite a nation of fragile naysayers imploring them both to be petty and antiquated.
Everyone who was thrown off the scent trail by that debate exchange needs to circle back on their own psyche and figure out why they chose to feel attacked by it. If you donā€™t confront your own fear of change/atonement youā€™re prone to being a #weakassunreliableally in this fight.
Bottom line is thereā€™s only one ticket in this election that sees no greater ambition or wise counsel for the role of VP than silent, supportive subservience to antiquated/atrocious ideas, and itā€™s NOT the ticket with the woman on it. #BidenHarris2020
Joe chose Kamala in recognition of the fact that his ideas need refreshing no matter how great he thought they were in the past or how uncomfortable it makes him to be intersectional in the present day. Thatā€™s how a ā€œdiversity/inclusion initiativeā€ becomes a realšŸ’ŗat the table.
We arenā€™t going to get out of this mess by shielding the forces that created it from confrontation & discomfort. We arenā€™t going to heal from the past by running away from it or sugarcoating it with fairy tales that are debunked by our real lives on the daily. Stop looking away.
Stop expecting meaningful change to occur without meaningful sacrifice and stop dreaming that you can dismantle White patriarchy/supremacy without listening to voices youā€™ve tuned out for comfortā€™s sake or granting real power to demographics whoā€™ve never had it before. Just stop.
Stop letting the MSM take you on a wild good chase through the fevered insecurities and petty hearsay of the privileged folk who allowed this disaster to happen b/c they ā€œknew betterā€ than everyone who voted against it. How many times do they have to be proven egregiously wrong?
How many times do we have to watch them attempt to manipulate us out of a seat at the table to know the real beef is they just donā€™t want us to ever have a seat at all? If we werenā€™t so much louder & stronger together they wouldnā€™t be trying so hard to silence & tear us apart.
