(1/3) Study of #SARSCoV2 antibody prevalence in a random sample of 99,908 adults in England from 20 June to 13 July.

Overall prevalence 6.0% (3.36 million people were infected); 32.2% asymptomatic. The IFR was 0.9% (excluding care home deaths). #COVID19

(2/3) The infection fatality ratio (IFR) was higher in males than females (1.07% vs. 0.71%).

When the IFR was calculated including deaths in care homes, and using excess all-cause mortality rather than confirmed #COVID19 deaths, the IFR was 1.58%.
(3/3) Antibody prevalence highest in people of black and Asian (south Asian) ethnicity, essential workers (particularly those with public-facing roles), and those living in deprived areas.

Those working in health care (11.1%) & in care homes (15.1%) most likely to test positive.
