#JulianAssange is going into this court without having seen his lawyers for six months, without having given access to a new indictment that was submitted to court 3 weeks ago, with serious physical pain and a psychiatric evaluation that says his mental health has deteriorated.

#JulianAssange will be “re-arrested” on new charges he hasn’t read or discussed with his lawyers, and that his defence has had three weeks to prepare for. The defence claimed in court that the prosecution is using this new extradition request for political purposes.

I hear that the new courts in the Old Bailey have been fitted with glass boxes similar to the ones that #JulianAssange was put in when he at Woolwich Crown Court in February where he famously stated “I am as much part of these proceedings as if I were at Wimbledon”

#JulianAssange faces 175 years in a US prison where he is wanted on charges of espionage for receiving and publishing war crimes, torture and murder that the US government considers “classified”. He is a political prisoner in the UK. #AssangeCase

Out of the torture, rape, murder, corruption, targeted assassinations, kidnapping & other war crimes that were exposed by @wikileaks, no perpetrator has been prosecuted. Only the alleged whistle blower and the journalist who published have been incarcerated and tortured. #Assange

Reporters Without Borders (@RSF_inter) @rebecca_vincent attempted to hand in to @10DowningStreet a petition of over 80,000 requesting the immediate release of #JulianAssange. @10DowningStreet did not accept the petition. They were turned away.
