Pompeo's China attacks increasingly unhinged, & now on environment from fossil fuel guzzlers? At 4 times US population, China's per capita carbon emission less than half US, 7th in the world. Global pollution making stuff moved to China. #Paris #renewableenergy @AttenboroughSir
2) So what have we learnt from @thecyrusjanssen's video? 2016 Carbon Dioxide Co2 EMISSIONS per capita:
1) US – 14.95t
2) Canada – 14.91t
3) South Korea – 11.50t
4) Russia – 9.97t
5) Japan – 9.04t
6) Germany – 8.88t
7) China – 6.57t

3) CHINA REDUCING CARBON FOOTPRINT

1) Lifted 800 million out of poverty
2) China planted 122 million trees in 2019 alone.
3) World leader in creating electricity from renewable energy sources
4) Largest electric car market >>>
4) Point 5) One third of world’s new vegetation comes from China and India (Carbon Brief)
6) China is the world-wide leader in aforestation means planting trees where there were none before, reducing deserts.
5) Point 7) China plans to plant at least 84,000 square kilometres (32,400 square miles) of trees by the end of the year (starting 2018), roughly the size of Ireland. Aims to increase the country’s forest coverage from 21% of its landmass to 23% by 2020.
6) Electricity production & transport:
1) In 2017, over 36% of China’s electricity came from renewable sources.
2) With over 700 million added to the middle class, the carbon footprint will increase. So China pours resources into sustaining a renewable source of energy. >>>
7) Point 3) China has roughly 3.4 million electric or hybrid vehicles, nearly 50 per cent of global electronic car market.
4) It has 82 per cent of the world’s fast-charging stations. The US has 5 per cent.
5) Most of the world’s 500,000 electric buses are in China. >>>
8) Point 5 cont'd) The bus fleets in a number of China’s city centres are near-fully or fully electrified, contributing to improving air quality. Santiago in Chile is home to the largest electric urban bus fleet outside of China. >>>
9) China remains committed to the Paris Agreement and is on track to meet these goals by 2030.
In contrast, Donald Trump pulled the US out and has increased the production of fossil fuels.
Don't forget that China greatly contributed to US growth over the past 30 years. >>>
10) Some of the biggest US corporations make more than 40% of their profits from sales & services in China alone: Apple, Microsoft, Nike, Starbucks, Goldman Sachs, Coke, McDonalds etc. China was a boon to US & Australian farming & Oz mining, saving both from the US's 2008 crash.
11) China saved the world from America's devastating 2008 crash by acting as shock absorber, allowing global currencies to devalue against it & took the hit. It bought a third of US debt, saving their economy & helping start the longest bull run ever. ft.com/content/7a802c…
12) Factors contributing to California/Oregon/Australia's devastating fires, rising sea levels threatening coastal cities like Miami & Shanghai, China's floods, include #climatechange. Biggest superpowers US & China need o work together. #renewableenergy theatlantic.com/science/archiv…

1) UK govt recklessly dragged us into the US-led Ukraine-Russia conflict knowing it would pauperise Brits on top of no-deal Brexit.
Nuland: "F**k the EU." And they did. US grabbed Russia's gas market & inflated prices.
Energy & food poverty for us, profits for them.

2) The war in Ukraine started in 2014 with the Maidan coup, not February 2022.
It was planned as early as 2002 by Nuland's husband, Kagan, and Wolfowitz.

3) In the mainstream media "news" outlets, weather balloons displace the US/UK wrecking ball that's trying its hardest to start World War III with Russia & China.
BTW, unlike the US/UK, China hasn't had a war or fired a shot in anger in 4 decades.

1) A tsunami of deflection from US & Covid.
However ...
Summer 2019: strange vaping & Fairfax care home deaths remain uninvestigated in US.
By July 2019 Trump's trade war is failing. He closes US pandemic team & Beijing CDC office. Johnson closes UK pandemic team. >>>

2) 18Oct2019: WEF/Bill Gates Event 201 showcases a Covid-like scenario as a "tabletop exercise" in NYC.
On the same day the international Military Games opens in Wuhan. US team unusually poor & comes next to last.
2 weeks later, Wuhan is the epicentre of the CoV pandemic. >>>
3) Nov 2019: The White House briefs NATO & Israel about the coming pandemic in China but neglects to warn China.

This article is from Stanford University, established by one of the Big Four founders of the Central Pacific Rail Road, Leland Stanford.
Its heritage is mired in the exploitation of Chinese labour, imported to build the railroad on the cheap.
Continuing the tradition.
2) When the US Civil War ended, the CPRR's Big Four investors sent to China for labourers who, they knew from early miners in California, would work hard for lower wages than the mainly Irish workers.
10-12,000 Chinese had to work off their debt & buy their own food. >>>
3) Each work gang paid a member to be their cook so they had a better diet than their white counterparts who'd sign up to the railroad, only to use the ride to get into the Sierra Nevada mountains for the gold rush.
The whites ate beans, beef and drank beer or river water ...>>>

1) A Short 21st C Timeline of the Dash to World War III:
When China explored & reached East Africa in the 15thC, they traded a bit & brought back a giraffe.
When Europeans landed in the Americas in 1492, they killed & enslaved its native people.

2) George W Bush designates China a “competitor” in his 2000 election & again in 2005 from the rubble of Iraq. >>>
3) China begins to buy US debt in 2000. In 2006, the value of the US dollar falls by a third because of the Iraq war.
Meantime, an alarming housing bubble is being pumped up.
When China complains, the US tells them to suck it up.

To sum up #Beijing Winter Olympics 2022:
1) China held the event in a pandemic
2) Showcased measures to control Covid, keeping everyone safe. (Embarrassing US/UK)
3) First carbon neutral games
4) Solidarity among athletes despite media hostility.
5) Beautiful, hi-tech facilities
The @BBC blathering on again about NO SNOW, then TOO MUCH SNOW. 🙄
So instead of Plague Island learning anything from the #BeijingOlympics, the BBC blocks facts with hate propaganda.
China spends more on green energy than anyone else, and the games are carbon neutral.
I'm reminded that this is the most watched Winter Olympics ever.

THREAD: 1) Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad. Trump in cornered rat mode yells about "China virus". Really? The Covid-19 chronology ignored by MSM:
April 2017 Trump makes a profit from his shares in Regeneron & Gilead. #coronavirus
2) May 2017, the month after his Regeneron & Gilead profits, Trump sends his covfefe tweets cuz he can't keep the excitement to himself. #COVID19 #coronavirus
3) 2019 Trump disbands the White House Pandemic team, closes the Beijing 47-strong CDC's office and later threatens to cut US funding for the Wuhan lab Ecohealth research project set up precisely to monitor viruses emanating from jungly southern China. theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…
