No problem is too big!

U just don't have the knowledge to see it in small parts.

Let's say u want to make 100% in trading each year.

How to do it? As it seems too big a task!

Now break it up. There are 52 weeks. Can 2% be done per week?

How to do 2% or +2R in a week?

Let's say total 5 trades/week - 3 with -1R loss each & 2 with +2.5R each, so net +2R!
Now it does not look as daunting!

Very tough, but not impossible.

If u get lucky 1 or 2 months in a year, u COULD get there!

# the first 30-45 minutes of market open are noise. Lots of money is lost by amateurs & made by professionals in this period

# last 30 minutes of Friday, can be very lucrative for positional trades
# the interplay of 50 EMA & 200 SMA is really interesting, to trade, across time frames

# emotions are necessary for some people. Total detachment, without knowledge & experience, can lose u a lot of money
# investing requires good temperament & trading requires great discipline. Both can't be taught, so very few succeed.

Biggest reason for people underperforming the #nifty?

Trying to outperform it in the short term!

#Investing for dummies

1. Pick out 10 good stocks from the largest 100 stocks

2. Put 10% in each

3. Whenever u have cash buy the 2 best performers or 2 worst or combo

Cont..
4. After a crash, put some in each of the 10.

5. As per requirement, every 2 years, exit the worst performer & put money in the new stock.

6. Don't ever rebalance

7. If cash required, sell the worst performer

8. Any scam, sell!

Rinse-repeat points 3 to 5 till eternity.
This won't make u super wealthy but it will ensure u keep making decent money & u don't blow up your portfolio.

If the stock remains within the range of the first 30 minute candle for most of the day and closes within it, it is consolidating.

1-2 days like this and it may be ready to move in the direction of the trend.

If u aren't sure - say "no"!
A "no" to "yes" , doesn't hurt as much as a "yes" turning to a "no"!
Be upfront.

Sometimes it may be read as rude but u will sleep peacefully with a clear conscience.

I a simple trend following strategy which may help someone.

IMPORTANT - U need to check it properly yourself before trying it.

Basically take any 2 moving average, ideally one should be 3x or 4x of the other.

Say 20 & 50 ema or 50 & 200 ema. Then wait for them to cross.

Overlay it with dochian or bollinger or supertrend (choose 1) so that it is breaking out just around the cross.

Enter with 1% SL & then just keep the smaller MA as SL.

Try with 30 or 60 min or daily charts.

I generally use the 50 EMA, 200 SMA & supertrend. 30 minute & daily charts work well for me. For entries, i can go down to 5 or 15 minute charts.
