3/ Hi CNN, there’s a few thousand Armenian protesters outside that have something to say. You may want to pay attention: #Armenia#ArmenianGenocide
4/ What I heard repeatedly from the Armenian protesters is that they will be back every night until the news starts paying attention to their plight against Azerbaijan & Turkey.
I believe them.
6/ The Armenian protesters are letting CNN know exactly why they’re here. Of course CNN is symbolic — the message is meant for a larger audience: all of us.
7/ There sure were a ton of people at the Armenian Protest in front of CNN building on Sunset Blvd. They came out in force: #DefendArmenia#Armenia#ArmenianGenocide
8/ The Armenian protesters must have shutdown 2/3 of a mile of Sunset. #Armenia
9/ Neverending amount of cars parked and left on Sunset Blvd by Armenian protesters. Never seen anything like it here. Amazing.
11/ I’m convinced the Armenian protesters aren’t leaving. They are going to stay right outside of CNN until Armenia’s plight against Azerbaijan/Turkey gets coverage:
12/ It’s clear to me: The Armenian protesters are here to stay. CNN employees are going to have a hard time claiming they don’t notice this protest.
Word of advice for CNN employees: leave early to get to work.
3:25 AM: It’s confirmed: The Los Angeles Armenian protesters are *not* leaving. They own Sunset Blvd from Vine to Schrader (including a block north and south in each direction on cross streets).
15/ 4:04 AM: Armenian protesters opened-up the intersection at Cahuenga and Selma, but the street is still packed with cars. There is essentially a checkpoint at the intersection of Sunset Blvd & Cahuenga:
17/ Armenian Protesters worked out a deal with @LAPDHollywood to stay on Sunset between Cahuenga and Wilcox. Cars outside of those boundaries will be towed.
21/ 1:31 pm: Armenian protesters move the police line back a block. Crowd is passionate and growing. But peaceful and respectful. The @LAPDHollywood work with organizers well.
28/ 2:25: Armenian Protester explains their plight & thanks the press.
My question: where is the press? Not even any local cameras. They have *shutdown* Sunset Blvd for 24 hrs. They are *NOT* leaving. How is this not a major story on local news? I’m perplexed.
“At the end of the day, we are this: Armenia, a small little nation is more powerful than most countries can even imagine. And you know why? Because it is the way we fight. It is the way we love. It is the way we have heart. It is the way we stand with God,” #ArmeniaStrong
30/ 3:30: Here comes the noise and energy. CNN, can you hear them downstairs?
32/ Earlier at Armenian protest: I thought this was pretty amazing moment: #ArmeniaStrong#Artsakh
32/ 8:00pm: Things are live. Armenian Protest crowd is really large. Already bigger than last night. It’s really AMAZING. #ArmeniaStrong#ArmeniaStrong
33/ 8:05pm: the Armenian protesters have absolutely flooded the area. The car (parked) caravan is massive. I’ve been in larger protests but I’ve *never* experienced this energy.
Armenian protesters came seeking international media attention. First 24 hrs after taking over Sunset Blvd they received *zero* media attention — both local and national.
38/ If you ever want to deal with the most insufferable Turkish *bots* all you have to do it post support for #Armenia, and your Twitter will be hounded by Turkish bots.
