📌 Networking thread

Networking is important in almost every aspect of life including in the creative space and in amplifying your content.

It comes naturally to some and here a few tips you can make it work for you too online.
Be generous with your “likes”. If you enjoy someone’s content. Tell them! Engage with their content online. Like, share, comment.

By doing so you’re amplifying their content. Guess what - they make return the favour too! Even if they don’t - someone else will.
If you’ve been inspired or your interest was peaked by someone else’s content - don’t hesitate to give them credit.

Most content creators will appreciate that.
Don’t be afraid to reach out to other content creators in your world. Don’t be an island. Create your tribe of creators to support each other.

📌 Engagement thread

Okay, let’s talk about creating engaging content.

This applies to any creative content that you put out.

💡

The most important thing is to be yourself. Create content that you are passionate about it.

Be original. People are drawn to original thought.
💡Be consistent

Stick to a regular rhythm for your content. If you publish your content weekly, every Monday - do try and stick to that.
💡Be clear & concise in your description of your content

Remember that people do not have time to decode what your content is.

Okay right, let’s get to it. Today, my aim is to try and cover:

- Podcasting (this will be applicable to non-podcasters too)
- Engagement
- Building your audience

& more. How does that sound?

So let’s start with Podcasting. This is the

📌Podcasting thread
In addition to being an avid podcast listener, I also co-host @girlinskies with @XolieNc.

I also conceptualised @Wamagaisa’s #BSRPodcast & lead on the post-production of it.
Just a mention of some of my experience in this space.

As I go along, feel free to ask any questions
🎧So you want to start a podcast?

If you’ve been thinking about starting a podcast, this is the question you should ask yourself?

💭Would I do it if no-one listened and I never made money from it?💭

If the answer is yes! Then yes, go ahead.

Sharing your content with the world can be very scary, this is because the content that we create is to some extent a piece of ourselves. In this thread, I’m going to give you guys some tips on how you can gain the confidence to share your content.
First tip! Don’t be scared of criticism, instead embrace it!

Sometimes we are so scared of what people will think or say about our content. This fear can be so intense that it can stop from posting content because we seek validation and approval from people on the social media.
Whatever negative feedback you may get from people, it’s up to you to decide how you will let it affect yourself. You can either cry about the whole day(not recommended😂) or you can use that criticism to build you. USE THAT CRITICISM TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.

#Cottage47 This is a group of individuals that almost instantly became like family to me. We’re a hub of people coming together to be great. Raising mental health awareness through various expressions of creativity. Music , art , poetry etc .
I really genuinely urge you to bookmark what I’m about to share and give it a chance. Once you understand each individual, you’ll start to understand what we’re trying to do as a whole 🙏🏾
Here is a playlist that highlights the music that is being created.

So my earliest memory of this , i was say 4/5 years old ? Idk. Maybe earlier. Apparently I used to talk ALOT and I had all sorts of opinions and questions. I was also pretty sharp for a kid. So my mam’omncane said to me “Ah Ama , I think you should be a lawyer “
I didn’t know what a lawyer was. But BOY did she sell me dreams . She made it sound so cool and amazing. & the most important part was that she made me believe @ that small age that I , Mina , uAmanda Sihle Ndlovu , I could it 🙏🏾
