SARS WAS NEVER MEANT TO FIGHT ROBBERY
That SARS should end shouldnt have been up for debate if Nigerians know that SARS was d Police wing of Ibrahim Maradona Babangida's terror machination, set up to crush prodemocracy agitations in 1992, before the eventual 1993 June 12 impasse.
Its true that Danladi Mirenda gave d coinage 'SARS' to his team when he was moved from Benin to Lagos in 1992, but this team were men from FCID, Adeniji Adele, Zone 2 Anti-Robbery & State CID Panti. These anti-robbery units were already doing hatchet jobs for Halilu Akilu's DMI.
Publishers of TELL Magazine will have a full library compliment of how SARS in 1992 hounded Gani, Beko, Mayegun and others at the peak of Babangida's scheme to transform himself into a civilian President, after the sham elections that gave majority seats to his front party, NRC.
While IBB's govt made it look like SARS was set up to curb Shina Rambo's rampage in Lagos, i remembered TELL Magazine raised an alarm then that Brigadier Togun was coopting SARS men for IBB's National Guard. Togun is today Chairman of Amotekun as appointed by Seyi Makinde. 😃
SARS attained its current level of notoriety when Abacha disbanded IBB's National Guard after the New year of January 1994, and those drafted from Police returned to SARS. T'was this SARS that coordinated Gani's arrest in January 1996, before he was handed over to SSS Shangisha.
Since SARS started in 1992, it existed & operated only in Lagos until about 2002. It was OBJ & Atiku that duplicated SARS nationwide. Because he knew youths dont know this, today, Atiku, our father of amorphous democrats is also tweeting #EndSARS
Una see say this life no balance?
All d stories about SARS being set up to fight robbery will make Gani turn in his grave. Majority of d human right cases Gani did was against SARS & SSS. You dont know anything about SARS if u're asking for its reform. SARS is like cancer. You dont reform cancer; you cut it off.
These are daredevil men allowed liberty to write their own rules and are largely disconnected, even from CPs & IGP's command. Crime fighting has gone tech & digital. We dont need to be at the mercy of bloodthirsty policemen filled with Indian hemp, before we feel safe.
#EndSARS

NIGERIAN POLICE POULTRY OF BAD EGGS
Dear President @MBuhari
I expect that the current @PoliceNG IGP, Mohammed Adamu would have been sacked long ago. In Nigeria's 60yrs after independence, there was never a time @PoliceNG has been this useless, bereft & brazenly criminal. #EndSARS
Everything isn't politics. Its sheer madness to have made the allusion that a vast majority of @PoliceNG are patriotic. An aide in Aso rock must have made that up. A vast majority are maniacal crooks! Nigeria will likely be safer if the entire @PoliceNG is disbanded this moment.
I saw a tweet with photo props that IGP is briefing the President on @PoliceNG reforms. That's the 'razzest' joke from @MBuhari's media aides.
@PoliceNG that cannot complete a uniform switch, about 10yrs after the blue uniform was deployed. Some wear blue, some still wear black.

FOOD 4 THOUGHT
I had an experience last year that I now feel at ease to share.
A lady on this app made me an offer to be part of a project. I followed her narrative cautiously, parting with a preliminary sum I didnt find hard to overlook, till I was able to meet d project owners.
It turned out the person directly in charge of the project was my student at Specialist College, Ogba.
I taught him and his immediate junior sister, who is now a medical doctor, maths, physics, and chemistry, for 2years. I later got to know the lady that introduced me is his Ex.
We chatted about how this lady that introduced me is always aggressive about deals.
Then he confessed he had told her not to bring me, that the project offtakers are complete, but she wants him to play along so as to get the non refundable registration fee of N1Million from me.

NIGERIA MEDIA MADE MISERY
No doubt, there are very pathetic situations within our public systems - schools, hospitals, but many of the views peddled as facts are largely borrowed experiences, false narratives, and media simulation of how "bad," because they cant sell how "good." ImageImage
Somebody disagreed here, arguing there's nothing good in any of our General Hospitals. I have been to six this year, including Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta, and the one in Owo. I asked him to tell me the General Hospitals he visited, which informed his views, he disappeared.
I've had to retrieve a woman in labour from a 2 bedroom flat private hospital in d vicinity of a General Hospital.
In Lagos, Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital beats many private clinic, hands down, when it comes to maternity. No child birth deaths, Gynaes, standby Generator, name it?

CHURCHES BUILT ENGLAND
Church of England (CoE) invested £15.7Million in Google's parent company Alphabet in 2011. In 2012, it invested £60Million in hedge funds. CoE also has private equity portfolio & shares in Amazon, Shell, AstraZeneca, Microsoft, GSK, Vodafone & HSBC. I weak! Image
CoE gets ~17% yearly on its £8.3Billion assets. What does CoE do with money? CoE says about 15Million people alive today attended its schools, free!
1 in 4 primary schools & 1 in 16 secondary schools in England are CoE schools. It has 4,700 schools and plans to open 125 in 2020!
Just as we cant discuss Nigeria's parlous state sufficiently without mentioning that Nigeria has spent more of its years under plundering military rulers, its also crucial to review the under-contribution of Nigeria's religious systems and its attitude towards the social system.

AKURE BLAST CRATER
May the souls lost in #BeirutBlast rest in peace. 2,750 tonnes, almost equivalent of 92 trailers of AN exploded in Beirut and it barely left a crater in a peritidal soil. Akure blast caused by one truck of explosive created a 21m diameter and 7.8m depth crater.
We heard the truck carrying the explosives in Akure is so small, that all evidences of it got buried in the crater.
No pieces of metal from truck's chasis and no fragments from its tyres. Till today, the truck's registration details, its owner, or its driver had no names. 😀
Explosives leave behind physicochemical traces. This footprint wasnt found in Akure crater.
Researchers abroad now have 3D stereograms of the Akure crater, and have continued to study it. Stereographic datasets are pointing to the crater's meniscus as an extraterrestrial impact.

BEFORE YOU SELL YOUR SOVEREIGNTY
Use of the brain is also a sovereignty. A unique set among us learn like cows. All that the cow behind in the herd knows is in the head of the cow in front. And what makes the cow in front look wise is its ability to put up the dandiest show off.
Who amongst us has seen the fine details of China's infrastructure loans that made some us conclude Nigeria has conceded its sovereignty? Whatever it is, I can assure all that its likely going to be nothing close to the inimical clauses of English Premiership football contracts.
Football contract is on a lighter note. What should worry us are the inimical clauses of America's Arms Purchase Agreements. Globally, China is working to gain regional influence through Debt-Trap Diplomacy. If its about sovereignty, China would have used Congo to plant Cocoyam.
