Back when the Europeans owned black people as slaves in the Americas, especially North America, these slaves were split into "House Negroes" & "Field Negroes."

The Field Negro worked in the cotton fields. Conditions were harsh & brutal. Horrific weather conditions, whippings...
...& hunger was the order of the day. Life was brutal for the Field Negro & (s)he constantly looked for avenues to escape. It was brutal. Life was horrible for the Field Negro.

Then you had the House Negro. (S)he worked inside the house with the Master. Conditions were good...
...Matter of fact; conditions were great! Whippings were minimal, scraps from the Master's table, leftovers from the Master's plate, cool air away from the sun; life was great! So they got thrashed a couple of times or got raped. It was a small price to pay for the "comfort."...
Therefore you had two different oppressed mindsets. Matter of fact, whenever the Field Negro had plans to escape, the House Negro would foil those plans. (S)he knew if the Field Negro escaped, Master would be furious THEN (s)he could become a Field Negro. So, the House Negro...
...was a snitch. Sometimes, whenever the Field Negro had been brutalized by Master, the House Negro would sneak some food to the Field Negro & tell 'em; "Master isn't too unreasonable. See? He even allowed me bring you food from the kitchen. Just behave."

Watch out for...
...House Negroes. They are all over the #EndSarsNow protests.

This Isaac Promise saga is just a tragedy. The whole story shows how much we, as a people, are usually thinking about how to get ours from our seemingly successful dead relatives.

Here's what I found out.

The late Isaac Promise's career had stalled somewhat, since 2014...
...with his Turkey expedition seemingly going nowhere. His move to the MLS was supposed to help revitalise his career and his last club, Austin Bold in Texas, were a willing stepping stone. Then he tragically passed. How much was he earning before he died? $2,500 a month.
According to what I found out, his American club were going to bury his remains in the States, but the NFF called them and told them to tarry. Then the conversations between the Federation, his widow & his family back home started.

Here's where I'll tread carefully.

Man.

A few years ago, I was drinking at this joint I normally drink at in G.R.A when this young waitress served. Looked all of 17 & it was quite late. I was a bit bothered. She looked way too young. So I asked her. She was 17. Pretty young girl...
...I could see her immediate future at that joint, with pervy old men like me drinking there, so I asked her why she wasn't in school. Familiar tale of no money so she was waiting tables until she could save up to buy forms for SSCE & JAMB. I don't remember how much it was...
...but I asked her: "If you get money for these forms, you will stop doing this job?" She said; "Yes." So I dipped me hands & pulled out my lean stash. Gave her the loot & told her she could quit. I don't do appreciation. I don't know how to handle it.

I went to a military secondary school. Now, in the Nigerian Army, like almost other armies in the world, a Field Marshall is the highest rank, but no Nigerian has ever gotten that rank & I really doubt if anybody will. It's just there to be admired because it's god status.
Only a commissioned military officer, in theory, can rise to become a Field Marshall. But. Among non-commissioned officers or "Other Ranks," the highest a soldier can get is the Warrant Officer Class 1. An officer by warrant. Or a Regimental Sergeant Major, RSM.
In NMS, two RSMs have achieved legendary status. RSM Yamusa Zakari Kumasi, the longest serving RSM in the school's history. If any retired General you know attended NMS, chances are RSM Kumasi flogged his behind.

Election results breakdown from 2015, by regions.

SW - Buhari got 57% of the total votes cast.
SE - 7%
SS- 8%
NC- 58%
NE- 78%
NW - 84%

That translated to 54% of the total votes cast in 2015, or 15.4 million votes.

The PDP's hurdle: the 2019 voters' list gives the NW 20.2 million registered voters & the NE 11.3 million. The SW adds 16.3 million voters & the NC 13.4 million. These are the regions that gave Buhari the Presidency. How do you break those massive numbers now?

Steps to impeach a President, if you haven't seen it before. Here goes! Again.

1. A notice of any allegation in writing alleging gross misconduct on the part of the President. This notice must be signed by not less than one-third of the members of the National Assembly.

2. The Senate President must within seven days, serve the President and each member of the National Assembly with a copy of the notice of allegation.

Steps 1 & 2 look easy enough.

3. The President has a right of reply (he does not have to reply however), and any such statement in reply to the allegation must be served on each member of the National Assembly.

Simple, right?
