The PDF files from the NY Post article can NOT be claimed to have been saved from a laptop set to central Europe timezone.

Based on testing, High Sierra saves all PDFs with Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) timestamps for the CreationDate and ModDate, regardless of your time settings.
OK so there's some confusion. This is me, refuting a rumor going around. This is about the PDF files of the email allegedly from Hunter Biden's alleged laptop.

The timestamps saved within these files show a timezone that's Greenwich Mean Time, aka Zulu time.
Because this is the timezone used in central Europe, people have made claims that this means the file was created on a laptop who's time was set to central Europe, and was therefore likely in central Europe.

BUT...
But PDF files generated by this version of macOS ALWAYS use Zulu timestamps, no matter what your laptop's timezone is set to.

So the rumor is without evidence.

In late 2018, Rudy Giuliani and his team began creating propaganda to ensure that Biden would not be the Presidential candidate.

Rudy's team included, Igor Fruman, @levparnas , Victoria Toensing, Joseph di Genova, John Solomon, Dmytro Firtash, Devin Nunes, and Derek Harvey.
There were multiple known Skype calls and meetings in Vienna and New York with now disgraced former Ukraine Prosecutor General Victor Shokin and then current PG Yuriy Lutsenko (both now disgraced ex-prosecutors).

I'm fine with talking about Hunter's error in judgement between now and election day, as long as we give equal time to Junior's, Eric's, and Ivanka's multiple errors in judgement.

Of course, I just limited it to family members. if I included all the people surrounding both candidates involved in scandals, rather than just family, the left side would remain the same and the right side would be in an illegibly tiny font to fit it all in.

So let's speculate on what really happened with this Hunter Biden propaganda. This is one possible interpretation of the facts we have on hand.

Hunter Biden drops off three laptops for repair and data recovery with Mr. Isaac in April 2019. 1/
Mr. Isaac, sympathetic to right wing conspiracy theories, thinks he may have been handed some kind of evidence and somehow contacts Rudy Giuliani.

Copies of the data are made. Emails are extracted and converted into PDF form in September and October.
Giuliani uses his FBI contacts to get one of the laptops (and a disk of unknown origin) subpoenaed by the FBI as part of some sort of investigation.

They sit on this info until three weeks before the election when they hope for maximum damage.

So I just looked at CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX news website front pages.

Fox has three stories covering this propaganda email thing. Their top three stories.

None of the other networks have it on their front pages.
So for all the criticism that other major networks are falling for this nonsense, it looks like (at the moment) maybe they really aren't.
Of course the reality is that if GOP members of Congress start talking about it incessantly, major press will have to cover it. This is exactly why Russians have been successfully targeting GOP members of Congress with their propaganda.

So I have some questions to ask with no agenda. I'm seeing several tweets today that "sexual preference" is an offensive term, and as a straight guy I'm a bit confused.

Wouldn't the claim that this is an offensive term itself be offensive to bi/queer people?
It would seem that saying that preference doesn't exist would be synonymous with telling bisexuals they're just confused.

And as we work to move gender away from binary descriptions, why is it either politically or scientifically beneficial to move sexuality back into a binary?
I certainly understand that the vast majority of both straight and gay people feel strongly about their attractions and have no interest in deviating, and I agree that this is most likely built in. But that doesn't seem to mean that "sexual preference" should be offensive.

The McConnell rule makes zero sense. When the Senate and the president are the same party there is no check whatsoever against court packing. When the Senate and the president are different parties there is an inherent built-in check in place.
Why then did McConnell completely block the nomination from even going to a hearing in 2016?

Did he not even have the votes to block her?
FYI, since 1980, three Justices were confirmed by mixed President/Senate (though not in an election year). All nominated by Republicans and confirmed by Democrats.
