SARS in PH will make you believe car stunts in movies are not film tricks

Imagine getting double crossed at 11pm on your way to the club with bright lights being pointed in your face as you're being ordered to park

For a moment, I felt a robbery was about to go down.
#EndSARS
Car slows to à halt & these officers approach with cocked guns to take a peek into the car

4 well dressed boys looking to chill for the weekend are suddenly made to come down infront of Play House & sit on the ground while the car is being searched

On the other side of the road
A driver is in the middle of pleas & negotiations as he is being threatened to cough up a sum higher than his salary for driving his bank manager boss's car to the club for a harmless outing.

Poor man kept saying the hush money asked of him was more than his monthly pay but
All pleas fell on deaf ears as they threatened to call his boss to get him fired for misuse of office property.

Driver ends up giving all the money on him while forfeiting his planned enjoyment as he walks back to the office car in utter sadness.

All these while we're sharing
Handcuffs while still seated on the ground.

One person is asked to drive & follow their car while the rest of us are squeezed into a Lexus 330 boot.

Still in 007 mode, the Lexus speeds up as it approaches a Camry parked at one dark end of the street.

The Lexus's beam #EndSARS
Catches a young man in mid-coitus & for a minute, I curb the urge to burst out laughing.

The young man disentangles himself from the lady & hops into the driver's seat & starts driving in full reverse.

The SARS operative on the opposite side of the driver stretches his weapon
And let's out a rapid burst of shots as the young man in the Camry succeeds in turning the car around without having a tumble.

At this point, he might think he was being chased by robbers & I could hear the officers at the back seat promise him mayhem if he eventually got caught
The spin of the Camry & the shots fired lift up a cloud of dust & the young man is gone by the time the dust settles.

We are then driven round the GRA & Casablanca axis & finally let go when they seem to have caught bigger fish & find themselves in need of their booth space.
We are made to contribute our groove money & then released
It was a quiet journey home.

On that day, I marveled at the impunity of these men.
They could kill at any hour of the day & NOTHING will happen.

Let's not even talk about the money they make on a daily basis.

This was me stepping into PH after 2 years in other states & this was the warm welcome I got on the first Friday after my arrival.

These days I prefer my fun at home so I don't get found by what I'm not looking for outside.

The stories of people who encounter long departed people has never been something I believed in, but I've heard stories from people that left me in awe.

I recently heard one which made me laugh & at the same time marvel at people's stupidity.

Short story 👇
Dead people have been rumored to carry out perfectly different lives far away from their original places of birth and death & this has been common knowledge among the elderly in most African societies.
Matter of fact, many of our great grand relatives have a story or two to share
On the subject matter, all you need do is ask and they will be more than happy to indulge you. (Grandparents love recounting their lives' stories and nothing encourages them more than a listening ear)

A story was told of a family far back in the 60s who lived at the border of
