1/ California patriots -- I hear a lot of you don't trust the mails to return your ballots and/or don't believe in early voting. I get it...but we @CAGOP really need you to vote as soon as possible & turn in your ballot, to the county voting office ... sos.ca.gov/elections/voti…
2/ or to a friend, family member, campaign worker, @CAGOP staffer or local Republican volunteer by hand or at a @CAGOP drop box, and they will deliver it to the voting office in the county within 72 hours. Democrats are voting early, and we need to do the same to be heard now!📣
3/ A final point -- if you wonder where your ballot is, the Secretary of State says you can track it here: california.ballottrax.net/voter/ Does it work? 🤷♀️ Try it and find out. My husband and I have already voted--please join us and vote already--it's not like the choices are hard! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Speaking of Amy Coney Barrett not being some big government ogre, let's take a look at her ruling on qualified immunity in the case of a police detective who allegedly framed an innocent family man for murder -- she wasn't having it: reason.com/2020/09/23/amy…
2/ Conservatives are divided on the issue of qualified immunity. This judicially-created doctrine shield government wrongdoers high and low, from individual liability for violating Americans' civil rights. Like the ATF agents who shoot your dog when breaking down the wrong door/
3/ or the campus administrators who say that some "reformed" terrorist or that white fragility charlatan can speak on campus but @AnnCoulter or @MrAndyNgo can't. Why should they get away with violating the constitution? They shouldn't, but thanks to qualified immunity, they do!/
1/ I've seen some conservative huffing and puffing about Judge Barrett being a "statist" because she refused to enjoin Illinois' coronavirus restrictions. So I thought I would actually read the Sept. 2 opinion in Illinois Republican Party v. Pritzker, which she joined (3-0).../
2/ and the case is about whether, in the name of the 1st Amendment, the Illinois GOP was entitled to the same exemption from the 50-person gathering cap that houses of worship enjoy under Pritzker's orders, which merely "urge" religions institutions to adopt now-familiar limits/
3/ but everyone else has to follow the 50-person cap. By attacking the lack of a binding limit for houses of worship the party hoped to expand its ability to gather, but the three-judge panel including Judge Barrett rejected their reasoning, as had Justice Kavanaugh in declining/
1/ "Conservatives" impotently dithering about whether to support a Ginsburg replacement vote: Hanging in the balance is whether court, viz. J. Roberts, continues to block application of equal protection, due process & First Amendment to strike down overreaching state COVID laws:/
2/The other four "conservative" justices have voted to grant cert. in two cases involving freedom of worship: South Bay Pentecostal Church v. Newsom (I'm one of the plaintiff lawyers) & Calvary Chapel Dayton Valley v. Sisolak. Justice Roberts' concurring opinion denying cert in/
3/ South Bay Pentecostal has been used by state AGs to eviscerate constitutionally & statutorily grounded challenges to excessive government power. Right now protesters are gathering & Dems threatening riots over J. Ginsburg but many can't pray in church this Sunday. This double/
1/ I began to see a spike in hateful liberals, deranged emails and DMs this evening, and now I know why: @nytimes right on time fanning the flames of fear and advocating more lockdowns: ‘Our Luck May Have Run Out’: California’s Case Count Explodes a.msn.com/01/en-us/BB167… /
2/ My firm & nonprofit @Liberty_Ctr filed a dozen lawsuits to open up the state to socially distanced & safe prayer, permitted outdoor protest, safe opening of businesses, hair salons, restaurants, hotels, & to allow people to go to the beach. We forced many policy changes.../
3/ but some counties such as Santa Clara have held out, preferring hysteria and lockdown to risk assessment and balance. The higher “infection rates” are largely due to more testing of young and healthy people with little to no symptoms. The hospitals were never overwhelmed .../
1/ Aloha! Our nonprofit @Liberty_Ctr filed a lawsuit against Hawaii Governor Ige on behalf of mainland plaintiffs to challenge his arbitrary 14-day quarantine on all visitors to HI. W/TRO hearing July 2, HI's AG asked to argue motion herself, in person: libertycenter.org/hearing-date-s…
2/ Judge Otake so ordered and also ordered that AG Connors & I must wear either face masks or face shields while arguing (we had agreed to do this hearing by Zoom until the AG yesterday insisted on in person). I have sought and obtained an exemption from the quarantine to argue./
3/And then leave. So for my first trip to Hawaii in nearly 20 years, I'm going to argue a TRO, carry an exemption letter from the Governor (who I'm suing) so that I don't get arrested for breaking quarantine, adhere to strict requirements, & head to airport. What could go wrong?🧐
Hey media-have you asked @PhilTing whether he has apologized to @PhillipChenCA for impersonating him on a "dating"(hookup/human trafficking) site where men bid on women? Where is @Rendon63rd's comment on that? Where are the #MeToo CA legislators on their colleague buying "dates"?
2/@PhilTing--you didn't just betray your family and your vows. You also betrayed all of your constituents. You also committed wire fraud by impersonating another assembly member on a human trafficking app for the purposes of soliciting sex. You also exploited an immigrant, woman/
3/person of color in a vulnerable situation & used her as a prop for your/@LorenaSGonzalez#AB5 fiasco. You didn't commit a one-time transgression. You exploited & trafficked this woman over a multi-year period and you think a tweet & saying "right wing site" is going to fix it?/
