#ENDSARS- IN BUHARI'S FAVOUR
The seat of the president isn’t as powerful in a federal democracy as we often think, except d occupier is brazenly tyrant. Buhari's sarcastic emphasis and throat clearing, when announcing d amount NASS appropriated to itself for 2021 buttresses this.
If there's no #EndSARS protest and the arrest of erring policemen are ordered, there would have been conspiracy theories saying it's a move targeted at "Christian" policemen, seeing that many of the policemen accused of being brutal are Christians of southern extraction.
If govt had gone after CSP James Nwafor who was accused of killing one Chijioke Iloanya, there'd have being questions asked about other killer policemen in the West or elsewhere who aren't Igbos. Now it seems #EndSARS is louder than the usual ethnic jingoism or religious bigotry.
I support Buhari and i gave money to #EndSARS.
People who support Buhari should see #EndSARS as an epoch making event, which Buhari should take credit for. The thought about organizing a counter 100million man March is counterproductive, vexatious and should be perished.
I can tell y'all for free that Its the governors who are afraid most with #EndSARS escalating. Isnt it amazing how d governors quickly met and agreed to setting up judicial inquiries in their respective states? If this was a recommendation from the president, they will not do it.
If the truth be told, the police IGP is a toothless bulldog. He's subservient to a Police Service Commission (PSC) and Police Affairs Minister. Musiliu Smith, a former IGP under whom policemen went on strike for the first time Nigeria's history is the current chairman of PSC. 😃
The current IGP became a Commissioner about 13yrs after his PSC Chair, Musiliu Smith retired as IGP. Besides the fact the IGP has no say in selecting DIGs, there are AIGs who are sufficiently backed by politicians to ignore directives from the IGP. Your governors are behind this.
It'll be impossible to reform d police without offending the constitution. Looking at our laws, many of d killer policemen will go free.
#EndSARS protesters are asking they should be prosecuted. With lawyers like Mike Ozekhome defending these killers, the case will take 600yrs!

Dear @Mochievous @fkabudu @mrmacaronii @falzthebahdguy
Nigerians, not just youths, owe u gratitude for pushing issues that have troubled us for ages to d front burner. Unlike spineless keypad warriors, u followed your conviction with affirmative actions, at d risk of your lives.
Now that d outpouring of goodwill from Nigerians towards you is unwavering is also d time you should show astuteness with d peaceful #EndSARS protests. Coalesce your resources, deftness & ideas into helping Govt bring to a halt, violence unleashed by thugs hiding behind #EndSARS
Its dubious for failed presidential aspirants, who want to live their unfulfilled dreams through you to have claimed #EndSARS have no leaders. You are the leaders! Saying otherwise is an old trick, with which they portray you as humble, so as to leave the cockpit empty for them.

THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO NIGERIA
Everything should be done to encourage youth's freedom of expression, but how did #EndSARS protests across Nigeria become a battle of wits between "generations?" I belong to Gen X. If we did nothing under soldiers, there'd have been no Nigeria.
There's nothing legitimate about disparaging one generation or another. The part that surprised me most is how the 'baby boomers' are trying to outdo themselves at given validity to the narratives that "except for those protesting now, all other generations have failed Nigeria."
Its a thing of pride to see @falzthebahdguy & the brains behind @feminist_co enter into the trenches where Gani, Fela, Beko, Soyinka, Saro-wiwa, Kokori, Tony Fash had passed many nights before. Sowore is on this list too, even if the engine oil in his head is now due for change.

SARS WAS NEVER MEANT TO FIGHT ROBBERY
That SARS should end shouldnt have been up for debate if Nigerians know that SARS was d Police wing of Ibrahim Maradona Babangida's terror machination, set up to crush prodemocracy agitations in 1992, before the eventual 1993 June 12 impasse.
Its true that Danladi Mirenda gave d coinage 'SARS' to his team when he was moved from Benin to Lagos in 1992, but this team were men from FCID, Adeniji Adele, Zone 2 Anti-Robbery & State CID Panti. These anti-robbery units were already doing hatchet jobs for Halilu Akilu's DMI.
Publishers of TELL Magazine will have a full library compliment of how SARS in 1992 hounded Gani, Beko, Mayegun and others at the peak of Babangida's scheme to transform himself into a civilian President, after the sham elections that gave majority seats to his front party, NRC.

NIGERIAN POLICE POULTRY OF BAD EGGS
Dear President @MBuhari
I expect that the current @PoliceNG IGP, Mohammed Adamu would have been sacked long ago. In Nigeria's 60yrs after independence, there was never a time @PoliceNG has been this useless, bereft & brazenly criminal. #EndSARS
Everything isn't politics. Its sheer madness to have made the allusion that a vast majority of @PoliceNG are patriotic. An aide in Aso rock must have made that up. A vast majority are maniacal crooks! Nigeria will likely be safer if the entire @PoliceNG is disbanded this moment.
I saw a tweet with photo props that IGP is briefing the President on @PoliceNG reforms. That's the 'razzest' joke from @MBuhari's media aides.
@PoliceNG that cannot complete a uniform switch, about 10yrs after the blue uniform was deployed. Some wear blue, some still wear black.

FOOD 4 THOUGHT
I had an experience last year that I now feel at ease to share.
A lady on this app made me an offer to be part of a project. I followed her narrative cautiously, parting with a preliminary sum I didnt find hard to overlook, till I was able to meet d project owners.
It turned out the person directly in charge of the project was my student at Specialist College, Ogba.
I taught him and his immediate junior sister, who is now a medical doctor, maths, physics, and chemistry, for 2years. I later got to know the lady that introduced me is his Ex.
We chatted about how this lady that introduced me is always aggressive about deals.
Then he confessed he had told her not to bring me, that the project offtakers are complete, but she wants him to play along so as to get the non refundable registration fee of N1Million from me.

NIGERIA MEDIA MADE MISERY
No doubt, there are very pathetic situations within our public systems - schools, hospitals, but many of the views peddled as facts are largely borrowed experiences, false narratives, and media simulation of how "bad," because they cant sell how "good." ImageImage
Somebody disagreed here, arguing there's nothing good in any of our General Hospitals. I have been to six this year, including Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta, and the one in Owo. I asked him to tell me the General Hospitals he visited, which informed his views, he disappeared.
I've had to retrieve a woman in labour from a 2 bedroom flat private hospital in d vicinity of a General Hospital.
In Lagos, Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital beats many private clinic, hands down, when it comes to maternity. No child birth deaths, Gynaes, standby Generator, name it?
