Another message from Messenger with a phone number. I quickly call and engage the young man.

I ask basic questions:

"Are you born again?" Young Man responds "Yes."

"Do you actually believer in the baptism of the Holy Spirit?". Young Man responds "Yes".

"Are there things you would like me to clarify on anything regarding". Young Man responds "No".

Ok.

So I pray for him.

I start praying in tongues and the young man starts saying:

"FILL ME! FILL ME!! FILL ME!!!"
"TAKE OVER MY BODY"
😳😳😳

Sir, the Holy Spirit is in you already, all you need to do is speak.

Ok Sir.

"Holy Spirit release fire in me and let me start shaking with your power"

Hmmm... Where is this coming from?

I decide to engage the young man and I asked further questions and discover he already has a preconceived mindset about speaking in tongues.

He believes that the Holy Spirit would need to come upon him and then he starts shaking.

Shaking/vibrating is his evidence that he speaks in tongues.

I explain why that happens to some people and it not being necessary as proof that one is praying in tongues.

We pray again and then he starts to speak but he kept insisting, he does not believe he is speaking.

Young Man insists that he should be shaking and overcome with holy fire.

I call another Brother who prays in tongues with him and we pray for a considerable time and in my mind I believe all is settled.

Last week Friday, I reached out to Young Man.

How are you? How are your tongues coming? Hope you have improved?

Hello Sir,

All is well. No Sir. I am going to church tomorrow to meet Pastor.

"Which Pastor?" I ask

"My Pastor on 'Mount Joy' who will pray for me"

"Ok". I respond

Young Man goes further to say "It is the feeling I am not getting".

Many people always desire the dramatic as proof they have received from God.

Many are out there wanting the overwhelming experience and when they don't get it, they delve into trouble.

It is the same way many believe that they can't preach the gospel until Jesus appeared to them.

The dramatic expression isn't all about the noise and shaking and shouting.

Elijah experienced this. Elijah had witnessed the power of God first hand.

He was fed by Ravens - Morning and Night!

Called down fire!

Many people who saw an Angel in the Bible panicked and tried to worship them but not Elijah.

An Angel woke him up to eat in 1 Kings 19:5 and he wasn't startled. He ate and slept!

Tuale Agba Elijah!

The meal gave him strength for 40 days until he got to Mount Horeb.

The "word of the Lord" came to him and instructed him to stand before he Lord.

v11 says "the Lord passed by and a great strong wind rent the mountains... but the Lord was not there"

There was also the earthquake and the fire but God was not in any of them.

Elements that carry so much noise and physical demonstration of power yet God was not in any of them.

God came to Elijah in a still small voice...SMALL VOICE!

I have seen the Holy Spirit do His greatest work in quietness. Remember, his is the wind and water and both can manifest as gentle and fiery.

Accept whatever you see and move on. It is the prerogative of God to do as He pleases.

If He chooses to appear to you fine; if not...

There is an outworking in our country Nigeria and many are expecting it to be loud but I can assure by the Spirit of God that a lot is happening.

Jesus came and till date, the effect of his coming is being felt.
