PART 10 #BiographyOfRasul

A Brief Review of the Story so far

Since today is our 10th day, and the last part just before the main Prophethood, we will take a quick look at some issues so far.

1/14
The miracles of RasuluLlah (s) had started to manifest even before his earthly Prophethood. In fact, his miracles began before his birth. This is referred to as "Irhãsãt", which is differentiated from "Mu'jiza", with the latter occurring in the hands of a Prophet.

2/14
Some of these mind blowing miracles are:

• Protection of his ancestral lineage from sins and zina and their preservation upon the right path.
• Protection of the Ka'bah from destruction by the Yemenite King Abraha. This is mentioned in the Qur'an Sur Fil Q105.

3/14
• Amongst his miracles is that he used to say "I am the son of the two sacrificed ones" ie Prophet Isma'il and 'AbduLlah his father.

• The miracles surrounding his birth. These miracles are uncountable. From the fall of Kisra' s palace to the way and manner he was born.

4/14
• His foster mother enjoyed from his bounty. He brought her obvious good fortune immediately he was placed in her care. He brought her progress which her husband, children and even livestock enjoyed from.

• He could talk to and hear animals and plants greeting him.

5/14
• His chest was opened and a black spot was removed. Scholars have explained that this does not mean that he was created with the normal deformity of normal people. The black part that was removed is the portion of evil creations in his mercy.

6/14
Were it not removed, even Shaytan would have enjoyed his intercession on the Day of Judgment

• You will also notice that his father died & was buried in Madina. His mother went to visit his father & died there also. She was buried around Madina. He too went & joined them.

7/14
This is another great sign for those who give sound thoughts.

• As part of the Prophet's miracles is the miracles of all prophets and saints who came before & after him

لأن الذي لأنبياء من خوارق
به نالها الأرسال خير محشدا

كذاك كرامات لأهل ولاية
فمنه أنيل ما أنيل ليحمدا

8/14
In summary, the miracles of the Prophet are uncountable.

خوارقه كالشهب وَالْقطرِ وَالحَصَى
إِمام نَزيهٌ كَاملٌ وَمَصونُ

......

What these Irhãsãt simply point at is the reality of his chosen-status. His excellent character alone did not propel him for Prophethood.

9/14
He is made excellent, chosen by Allah as His vicegerent on earth. He is who he is. All greatness are effortlessly summed up in him.

Also, it's important to contemplate on the tests he went through. From loss of his parents, guardians to loss of his own children.

10/14
You see, life is not always a jolly ride. Trials are not a sign of detest from the Creator. In fact, the Prophet said: "those who are stricken with terrible misfortunes are the Prophets, and then follow others according to their degree of faith”.

11/14
The ultimate goal of faith & knowing Allah is knowing that all that comes from Allah is good.

إذا كانت الأقدار من مالك الملك
فسيان عندي ما يروم وما يبكى

"For as long as destinies are from Allah, then it is same to me, that which pleases me and that which makes me cry".

12/14
Allah's plan is the best. We must learn to trust Him. Despite all the trials Rasulullah faced, Allah compensates him due to his patience and perseverance.

13/14
Lastly, we must learn to see the beautiful seerah of the Prophet (s) as a school from which we learn. Don't just read or listen and be baffled, learn and aspire to be like him. This is very important.

To be continued, in sha Allah

PART 9 #BiographyOfRasul

The Dawn of Prophethood

Life in the eyes of the Prophet (s) seemed unreal. He was a unique jewel in the midst of mere gravels.

Ignorance was wide spread, and nearly everyone had abandoned honorable character.

1/10
It was an age of ignorance (Nahiliyyah) in which, generally speaking, moral rectitude & spiritual code had gone into oblivion.

Superstitious rites & dogmas had replaced the tenets of the Divine religion. Only a few (his ancestors) remained upon the religion of Ibrahim.

2/10
Arabians engaged in unnecessary fights, gambling, adultery and unfairness in all dealings.

The Qur'an informs us of their level of thinking; "And they say: There is nothing but our life of this world; we live and die and nothing but time annihilates us". (Qur'an, 45:24)

His Adulthood

Not just him, but everyone in the family in which he was born possessed
elements of heroism and bravery. He was strong, healthy and now rich.

1/14
He led a life of prudence and generosity. This was not the norm with most Arabians at the time. It made their home a center of cynosure, a beacon of hope for the poor and needy, who always hovered around them. He and his beautiful wife always kept the help coming.

2/14
There was a drought and famine during which the Prophet & his wife set a new pace for philanthropy.

His foster mother, Halima also came to visit during this time and he used to place his cloak beneath her feet and show her maximum love and care.

She loved him dearly too.

PART 7 #BiographyOfRasul

The Prophet Meets Nana Khadijah

After the incident of the Christian monk who advised Abu Talib not to go with Rasulullah to Syria, Abu Talib sold his goods at cheaper rate in Basra in order to return home.

1/14
Abu Talib inherited the acts of providing food/water for pilgrims from his father Abdul Muttallib, which costs him.

Additionally, the Quraysh battle attracted more spendings.

Now, the battles have subsided and trading resumed, but Abu Talib was in a financial crises

2/14
So, he suggested that the Prophet (s) introduces himself to one of the wealthiest people of Quraysh, a Lady, Khadija bint Khuwaylid.

Khadija always employed merchants for her business and was in search of an honest merchant.

She heard about the Prophet (s),

PART 6 #BiographyOfRasul

His Adolescence/First Battle

The Prophet (s) was 15 years old already and signs of strength, bravery, firmness and wisdom were already obvious in his face and ways.

1/8
The Arabs of the Age of Ignorance (Jahiliyya) spent the whole year in fighting and plundering. However, they don't fight in the four
sacred months in a year (ie. Rajab, Dhul Qa'd, Dhul Haj and Muharram).

During this time, they open their trade markets

2/8
This conventant was held at high esteem by the Arabs. These times afforded them serenity, peace and harmony.

A misunderstanding brewed up between the Arabs which later manifested into the 4th Fujar Battle [it is named so because it violates the afformentioned conventant].

THE DONKEY AMONG DONKEYS

"Beast of burden" as they are nicknamed are one of the most lowly mammals in the world. Ko a Hausance ma, idan aka ce da mutum "jaaki", gaskiya an zage shi.

However, in history there has been a donkey, not quite like other donkeys.

A short thread.
In those days, Arabians found it quite dererogatory that someone rode a donkey. They glorified assorted horses & camels instead

Even those who were entrusted with the Torah & did not abide by it were likened to donkeys (Q62v5)

So it was quite lowly, but Rasulullah SAWS had one.
This is the reason why when you see ahadith that describes the Prophet's humility, you usually find them saying "he used to ride a donkey".

Many eulogizers of the Prophet SAWS often show his humbleness by saying that he rode on a donkey.

So, what was his (SAWS) donkey like?

For years now, the condemnation of an act which is well-rooted in the Deen has often been done without the use of any proof, but rather with pitiable logical examination and ill-witted analogies.

Today, we're setting the Records Straight.
Firstly, I acknowledge your right to accept or reject furu' issues. But the fact that you're doing so without proof from any Shari'a source, and yet directly linking the issue to Shirk is indeed worrying.

It leaves me wondering; what's so difficult to understand?
'Laya' is derived from the word 'Al-Ayah' ( i.e. verse of the Qur'an). Laya is simply a verse of the Holy Qur'an (differentiate Laya from Tamimah and other like things, for the sake of Allah).

Your statement "laya tana bada kariya?" = "Qur'ani yana bada kariya"=YES!
