NCSBE Executive Director Karen Brinson Bell says overall things are going smoothly today.
Minor issues at 4 precincts today. In Cabarrus County at First Missionary Baptist. The precinct opened at 6:47 due to computer issues. In Guilford at Bluford Elementary, there was a 34 minute delay in voting
Plainview fire station in Sampson County had printer issues and precinct officials did not go to backup labels. Polls opened 45 minutes late. At NE Clinton site in Sampson Co there was also printer issues. Polls opened 24 minutes late
NCSBE is extending voting at the Plainview fire station for 45 minutes and NE Clinton site for 24 minutes. Vote was 3-2 @wsoctv
By a 3-2 vote, voting will be extended by 34 minutes at the Bluford precinct in Guilford Co
Voting at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cabarrus Co will be extended for 17 minutes. Vote was 3-2 @wsoctv
So as of now the earliest we will get results in North Carolina is 8:15 pm, when polls close at the Plainview Fire Station in Sampson County @wsoctv

BREAKING: Mecklenburg County's Board of Elections just voted to make all of Charlotte's major stadiums and arenas early voting sites:

- Bank of America Stadium
- Spectrum Center
- Bojangles Coliseum

Mecklenburg County's early voting sites will need to be signed off by the state. 33 were picked in total. As a reminder during early voting, Meck County residents can vote at any early voting site.
The city reached out to Meck BOE and offered Spectrum and BoCol as early voting sites. Bank of America Stadium also reached out to Meck BOE about being included as an early voting site

1. The #RNC2020 saga in Charlotte has been a doozy. I've covered it from the start. Here's a recap of some key moments.
2. When the presentation was made to Charlotte City Council about whether to submit a bid for #RNC2020, only one City Councilmember opposed- @lawanamayfield. This was around January 2018. The city then submitted a bid.
3. Things stayed quiet until March 2018. Sources told @AllisonWSOC9 and me the RNC was paying a visit to CLT. We got our hands of the RFP which said the RNC "will only travel to those cities that are designated as finalists." wsoctv.com/news/local/rnc…
