For more than 4 years we have warned you that brexit and leaving the EU simply diminishes us, diminishes our influence in the world. We were told by brexiters that this was wrong, that we had to believe, the brexit would make us more global not less. Thread 1/

Your stupid promises are in tatters. With every decision this Brexit government makes, it isolates the UK further, diminishes its standing in the world further. The press with Murduch at the helm has done the same. 2/

We haven’t quite got leaders who lock children in cages (yet) but the Murdoch press have been investing in the ugly part of people’s nature that makes them frightened of poor wretched souls in boats and persuaded politicians to stand on beaches ranting angrily about foreigners.

The neediest in society have suffered from policy after policy which increases the demand on foodbanks and has increased homelessness whilst the government told you to look away and it was all the fault of Michel Barnier or Eastern European fruit pickers or the SNP or labour. 3/

This Tory brexit government and their paymasters who own the press have done this to the people of the UK. They pulled their wool over your eyes. Their Global Brexit Britain is a sham, a lie. They might have got away with it for a while longer if Trump had won. 4/

They gambled that lies and deceit and hate would win again in the USA, but truth and love and determination won instead and now that leaves the Brexit lie exposed fully - a gash open and nobody can work out how to close it up as our influence bleeds away. /end #BrexitReality
