Wife of Varavara Rao has filed a plea under Art. 226 before the #BombayHighCourt seeking his release from #Talojajail where he is presently in custody for alleged involvement in the #BhimaKoregaon case.
Bench of Justices AK Menon and SP Tavade will hear the plea tomorrow at 3 pm.
Sr. Adv. Indira Jaising will appear for Rao in the plea filed by Adv. R. Satyanarayan.
The plea was filed in light of the order of the #SupremeCourt refusing to grant bail to Rao and further directing the #BombayHighCourt to hear the bail pleas at the earliest.
The plea raises grievances that the state violated fundamental rights of Rao by not providing him appropriate medical attention while being lodged in the Taloja Jail since 2018.
