Salabega born in a Muslim family of odisha .
At that time Gajapati Purusottama Deba was ruling across kalinga.

Lalbeg was appointed in 1607 May 30 in as subedar. He kidnapped a bramhin widow women of Dandamukundapur ,Odisha during his tenure.
At last he married to that Lady whose name was Pratima Devi.
He took pratima to his cuttack lalbag house changed her name as Phatima Bibi

Once During Ratha Jatra salabega was out of town towards puri.Due to some difficulties he couldn't reach Puri . He prayed the Lord to stay in the chariot until he reach puri, And That's what Lord Listen to him and did
