Hello!

Our Book of the Month is still "Making Today Count" by @JohnCMaxwell

Let's just take you through the reviews we have had.

#athread
Introduction.

This focuses on how our day is run.

Daily routine is required as an haphazard day leads to a haphazard life and destiny.

Masterpieces are made as one can't be one by accident.

We'ld be examining 12 key areas in our lives on our journey to being specs.
CHAPTER 1- ATTITUDE

Our attitude determines our altitude.

No attitude is permanent, it can be changed.

How do we display the right kind of attitude?

- Take responsibility for your attitude: Change the way you look at things. It's no one's job to make you feel good.

.
- Be deliberate about changing those bad attitude areas.

- Think, act and conduct yourself like the person you want to become It all starts from the mind.

- Place a high value on people: People want to be valued and when you value them and their time, they love you more.
-Treat others well.

- Develop a high appreciation for life! Be perspective.

How do we manage to stay disciplined to this attitude we want to portray?

1) Recognize your attitude needs daily adjustments: Like we learnt in wholeness, do self inventory and make necessary amends.
2) Find something positive in everything.

3) Find someone positive in everthing: Seek positive people out as their energy will give you energy.

4) Say something positive in every conversation: Even if it doesn't seem like it is visible, learn to search it out and say it.
5) Remove negative words from your dictionary: Words like I can't, no more e.t.c. Be intentional about your words. Choosing an accountability partner can help with this.

6) Express gratitude to others daily even if you have to go out of your way to do so.
Questions For Us:

Where do you stand when it comes to your attitude today?
Ask yourself these three questions:

1.Have I already made the decision to choose and display the right attitude daily?

2.If so, when did I make that decision?

3. What exactly did I decide?
Chapter 2- Priorities

Focusing on things that matter.
What one is doing has to be good at the moment, not just good.

In setting priorities, you have to do this,

You must ask yourself what is required of you, what brings a great return and a great reward.
It has to be done intentionally.
If one's day isn't planned right, someone else would spend it for one.

*Priorities keep you focused and expectant.*

Focused because it's important to you and Expectant because the result is what you ultimately need.
What are you focusing on right now?
What are you expectant of, right now?

Prioritize what is most important to you.

Whatsoever it is that you want to do must make you happy. It must give you great satisfaction. It's a win-win as deriving pleasure will make you do it better.
Stay true to your strength.
Don't dabble about.

How do you find your strength?
1) Trial and Error: Try out different things and see what you can do best, what comes easy to you.

2) Examine your personal experience and see if there are some things you are really strong in .
3) Personality tests.
4) Asking people around you.

As priorities can change, we need to examine them on a daily basis.
How?
By...
A) Evaluating one's priorities daily.
B) Planning One's time.
C) Staying disciplined to one's plans.
D) Learning to delegate.
E) Investing one's time in the right relationships daily.

Chapter 3- Health

It's important to be intentional about this so our purpose isn't cut short.

Your health would be so important when you have a healthy personal worth.
That is, how you see yourself is a great determinant to a healthy lifestyle.

Bulimia and anorexia patients actually have the root of their problems in a disoriented self worth.

*So, have a healthy image of yourself and don't hurt your health!❤️*
Laughing is as vital too as it helps therapeutically so.. enough of the hard girl and hard boy face, Christian brothers and sisters. It doesn't look good on you. It doesn't favour your health.
How do we maintain a healthy health?

1) Eat right: Have a diet plan, Have a time for eating.
Mind what goes into your system.

2) Exercise: Not only for flat tummy or abs but to also keep fit and aid proper functioning of the body system.
3) Handle Stress Effectively!
Remember how we talked about finding your pace and knowing what works for you?

Yes, you'd need this in this area of stress management.

Chapter 4 talks about family and how important the family is in our success story.
It tells us that our success story isn't complete without our family.

It also tells us to have family traditions and make sure our family is really prioritized.

It encourages us to be value giving individuals both inside and outside the family.
It tells us commitment to God is the first step towards commitment to our family and spouses.

N.N: To have a solid family, work needs to be put in place.
It tells us to determine our values in order to let us know what our family stand for.

Hey there!

We are through with the review of the really amazing book for October, "WHOLENESS" by @toureroberts 😪It was indeed a very beautiful and essential journey..

Just before we draw the curtains..
👇
Chapter 12 is on Testing Wholeness.

How do you know you are whole?
How do you know you are growing?
How do you determine if you have moved forward?

Here are three ways:

1) Inner sufficiency.
This defines you and tell you you are enough. You don't need anyone to validate you.
You are content with who you are, where you are and reaching for more.
Wholeness heals neediness!💜

2) Adequacy:
This tells you you are enough also.
You are satisfied and proud of who you are.

3) Generosity:
You don't hoard information or resources. Love is abundant.

Holla!

Here are some snippets from our book review.
"Wholeness" by @toureroberts reviewed by @TheDebrah_

Chapter 9 talks about taking it step by step.

The journey of wholeness doesn't end till we die, as broken versions of ourselves will arise here and there.
Wholeness is not instant, we go through different stages on our way to it. These stages can also be called changes as we are changing different dialogues.

The journey to wholeness is hard.
Submit to change and don't resist it..
It's only then that a lot will change and with profits in the long run.

When we seek to update ourselves, we no longer become altered but defined. This process only begins to come into play when we have submitted to change.

Submit, for the most beautiful you is yet to be born.

Hello!
As we all know (even if you are knowing now), our book for October is WHOLENESS by @toureroberts .

This thread is to share some lessons from the book review

#aThread
Inner security is vital on our way to wholeness.

How is this gotten?

By rising above insecurity which meansthe fear of rejection, being unsafe, unshielded and unprotected.

Wholeness heals insecurity.
It is composed of the God of wholeness which also entails unconditional love.
Four steps to uproot an insecurity:
1) Discern the feelings.

2) Identify the thought behind it: Feelings are traceable to thoughts.

3) Name the storyteller and debunk the lie: If the thought doesn't come from God, it's a lie.

Know that hurt people hurt people.
