PM Netanyahu: "@SecPompeo, Mike, we just had a very intimate and productive conversation overlooking the walls of Jerusalem and it reminded me of how deep and profound your tie is to the Jewish state. Image
I gave you a Bible as a gift and I said that the People of the Book have not had a better friend and I mean it. I want to also express my appreciation for our personal friendship and everything that went along with it. So every word that I'm saying here is meant from the heart.
The first thing I should do is to express my condolences on the deaths of six US members of the MFO in Sinai. You were a serviceman and you know the pain of the loss of the people that were killed last week in a tragic accident. I sent a note but I want to say it directly to you.
They were killed along with fellow peacemakers from France and the Czech Republic. So we honor their memory and our thoughts and prayers are with their families.
We worked together closely these past 4 years. First when you were CIA director and then as Secretary of State. And I think from those two unique vantage points you've seen firsthand evidence of what I've been saying for many years, that the US has no better friend than Israel. Image
But you also worked hard to prove the other thing that I'm saying for many years and you contributed to it personally, mightily, that Israel has no better friend in the world than the United States of America.
Over the last four years, under President @realDonaldTrump and his remarkable team led by you and Ambassador @USAmbIsrael and Jared Kushner and others, Israel's alliance with the US has reached unprecedented heights. Image
Thanks to President @realDonaldTrump, the US recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital and moved its embassy here. Thanks to President Trump, the United States recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights. Image
Thanks to President Trump, the US pulled out of the dangerous nuclear deal with Iran, placed crippling sanctions on the Iranian regime and eliminated the mega-terrorist Qassem Soleimani.
Thanks to President Trump, the United States proposed the first truly realistic plan for peace between Israelis and Palestinians. And thanks to President Trump, Israel was able to forge peace with three Arab countries: the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan.
Israel is deeply grateful for all that President Trump has done with you and the others of the team to strengthen Israel and to advance peace. And Israel is deeply grateful to you Mike for your unwavering support.
America has firmly stood up to the perversion of justice at the ICC and I thank you for your personal involvement. Everything I said involves your personal contribution as well. And the US rejected the assumptions about the legal status of Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria
Thanks to your tremendous efforts to carry out President @realDonaldTrump's maximum pressure campaign, Iran's feet have been held to the fire and we have seen a reduction in the amount of support that they are giving to their various proxies in the region.
Your twelve points set the standard for what Iran needs to do if it wants to be treated like a normal country. Those who claim that your twelve points are either unnecessary or unrealistic simply want to give Iran a free pass.
The tyrants of Tehran deserve no free passes. And for all this and for much more, Israel is grateful to you. I am grateful to you.
PM Netanyahu: "Thank you @SecPompeo for your tremendous friendship and for your invaluable contribution to our alliance and to Israel's security and to the expansion of the circle of peace. Thank you friend and we hope to see you next year in Jerusalem". Image

The Cabinet will be briefed on how the coronavirus pandemic is being dealt with. We are opening commerce in street stores. To prevent a resurgence in morbidity, we are allowing opening for up to 4 customers at any one time, while strictly adhering to distancing and hygiene.
We are still in an early stage of returning to routine. We are constantly evaluating the effects of the measures to ease restrictions and the gradual opening in the preliminary stages, in order to prevent an outbreak of the pandemic.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, at the Cabinet meeting:
"I would like to start with congratulations for @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris. I have a long and warm personal connection with Joe Biden for nearly 40 years, and I know him as a great friend of the State of Israel.
I am certain that we will continue to work with both of them in order to further strengthen the special alliance between Israel and the US.
For myself and for all citizens of the State of Israel, I again thank President @realDonaldTrump for the great friendship he showed the State of Israel and me personally.

Yesterday we took a step toward a historic peace between Israel and Sudan. I thank Chairman of the Sovereignty Council al-Burhan and Sudanese PM Hamdok for their historic decisions. Above all, I thank President @realDonaldTrump and his team with whom we are changing history.
I remind you that Sudan was an enemy country. It participated in war against Israel. In the Sudanese capital of Khartoum, the Arab League declared the three no's with Israel: No peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel. We changed all of that.
Some of you may not remember that Iran also used Sudan for smuggling. Iran was a country from which very dangerous weapons would be smuggled to Hamas via Sudan, the Nile valley and Sinai and this compelled me to order steps to prevent this and indeed this has changed.

Prime Minister Netanyahu, on the declaration of normalization between Israel and Sudan:
“Today we announce another dramatic breakthrough for peace, another Arab state joining the circle of peace. This time, it is normalization between Israel and Sudan. What a great turnaround!
In Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, in 1967 the Arab League adopted its three ‘No’s’: ‘No to peace with Israel, no to recognition of Israel and no to negotiations with Israel.'
However, today Khartoum has said, ‘Yes to peace with Israel, yes to recognition of Israel and yes to normalization with Israel.’ This is a new era, an era of true peace, a peace that is expanding with other Arab countries, with three of them joining in recent weeks.
