NEW – CTV News has obtained a copy the latest national covid modelling, and it’s not good news

- If we increase our contacts, 60K covid cases per day by Dec
- If we maintain our contacts, 20k+ covid cases a day by Dec
- If we decrease our contacts, 5K covid cases a day by Dec
Some grim short term projections from PHAC as well.

By November 30th, there will be between 366K – 378K covid cases and between 11,970 – 12,120 covid deaths #cdnpoli
Dr. Tam and Dr. Njoo will have a press conference tomorrow at 9 am to present these numbers and take questions from journalists #cdnpoli
Here is the readout from the PMO on the meeting PMJT, Dr. Tam and Dr. Njoo had with the opposition leaders today, where the Drs shared the modelling with the other parties #cdnpoli

Dr. Tam, Dr. Njoo and Health Minister Patty Hajdu have arrived to announce the latest national modelling data. We reported on the projected case count and deaths last night but I’ll add some of the other data in the thread below #cdnpoli Image
Cases in the 80+ range have surpassed the 20-39 category for the first since the start of the pandemic, which is not good.

Cases in all age groups are up, so this is not just a young adult problem like it was in the summer #cdnpoli Image
Provinces outside of Atlantic Canada are all doing very poorly but Manitoba is growing at a staggering rate. Alberta is not far behind.

On @CTV_PowerPlay, @EvanLSolomon asked Health Parl Sec Darren Fisher 3 times if the ON Health Minister was correct in saying Canada will get 4 M Pfizer and 2 M Moderna vaccine by March.

Fisher wouldn't give numbers but said “I am not aware of where she got her numbers”
Alberta Chief Medical Officer Deena Hinshaw just said AB is anticipating they'll receive aprox 465K Pfizer vaccines doses and aprox 221K Moderna doses in Jan-March

So now AB and ON are saying on the record on this issue, but the feds won't confirm the numbers #cdnpoli #abpoli
Earlier today, @cmaconthehill asked Patty Hajdu to confirm if the Ontario Health Minister was correct in saying Canada was going to get 4 M Pfizer and 2 M Moderna vaccines by Jan-March.

WE Charity co-founders Marc and Craig Kielburger have just released a bunch of documents to the Finance Committee about the Canada Student Service Grant. Here is what we've learned so far #cdnpoli
Sophie Trudeau attended 8 WE events between 2012-2020 and her expenses, which were hotels, car service, and flights, totaled $23,940.76. She also got $240 in gifts.

This is on top of a $1500 on time speaking fee she got for one of the events #cdnpoli
When Bill Morneau paid WE $41K the day before his testimony to discuss his involvement in the CSSG, he wasn't given a physical invoice. WE just estimated what the cost of the trips were, and told his staff #cdnpoli

I’m at a cottage with friends this week but @atRachelGilmore and I are still watching what happens with CPC leadership race. In talking with a number of Conservatives over the past week, here’s some of the most interesting info I’ve heard about the race #cdnpoli
Mackay started off as the front runner but outside of his team, no one seems confident he will win tonight. Multiple conservatives have told me the Mackay team is over estimating his support. Not saying Mackay won’t win, but the original narrative of a coronation faded fast.
One insider I talked with has seen the internal polls from all four candidates. Two of the camps polling shows the exact same numbers, both pointing to a third ballot O’Toole win. #cdnpoli

If there was any urgency to rush people back in, you don’t feel it from the HoC gallery. Minister Champagne just got out of his seat and told a CPC MP that he was going to get a slice of pizza and that he’d be back. There are currently no Liberal MP’s in the house #cdnpoli
