One of the interesting properties of Jup-Sat
cnj, is that they occur extremely regularly at 20 year intervals, and within signs of the same element
in 1702 there was a cnj in Aries
in 1723, the cnj was in Sgr
in 1742, the cnj was in Leo
in 1762, it was back in Aries
etc.

AS you may know, all these are signs of the element Fire. But this pattern is not exact; the point at which the planets conjoin drifts slowly into the next sign of the zodiac...
Now, at length, after 240 years or 12 conjunctions, Jupiter and Saturn would start meeting in signs ruled by another element, in this case Earth (i.e. conjunctions in Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn). These "triplicity shifts" were considered highly significant events.
Now, in the tropical zodiac, the 2020 conjunction represents one such triplicity shift. From 2020 to 2159, all conjunctions would occur in Air signs---- in the tropical zodiac at least.
It would be interesting to study these triplicity shifts in the Sidereal zodiac, rather than the tropical zodiac as most western astrologers do.
Still, regardless of whatever zodiac you use, there is an undeniable feeling of awe when you study these conjunctions - you are participating in an enterprise that has continued for thousands of years,
These conjunctions also seem to compress vast stretches of time-- for example, the last time anyone saw a conjunction in Tropical Aquaurius was in 1405-- The year the last Emperor of the Byzantine empire was born....
