Inspection of Ongoing Reconstruction of Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Dual Carriageway, on Thursday 19th, November 2020, by Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, Ministers @FMWHNIG @tundefashola and @FinMinNigeria @ZShamsuna, & Governor of Kano State, @GovUmarGanduje

The Managing Director of Julius Berger revealed that the company has introduced a new innovative Cold Recycling method of constructing roads in Nigeria, which is being used for the first time in Nigeria for the ongoing reconstruction of Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano dual carriageway.

He listed the benefits of Cold Recycling as achieving shorter construction time, conservation of resources, cost effectiveness, enhanced road safety and environmental friendliness.

The JB Managing Director also stated that the scope of work on the Expressway has been divided into three sections, which are:

Section One, Abuja to Kaduna - 165.5km;

Section Two, Kaduna to Zaria - 73.4km

Section Three, Zaria to Kano - 137.0km

Min of @FinMinNigeria, @ZShamsuna stated that her Ministry would work closely with @FMWHNIG & Messrs Julius Berger to expedite action on the reconstruction of Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano dual carriageway, to ensure completion before the end of President @MBuhari’s administration.

She explained that the issue of funding has been addressed because @FinMinNigeria has given 650 million US dollars to @nsia_nigeria, whose responsibility is to generate additional funds to ensure Abuja-Kad-Zaria-Kano dual carriageway & other designated projects are fully funded.

The leader of the delegation and Chief of Staff to President @MBuhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, assured that President Muhammad Buhari’s “commitment is real and is going to be realizable before the end of his tenure.”
