Scale went viral - 150,000 visitors in 24 hours πŸš€

How?πŸ€”

❌ Well, it wasn't @ProductHunt.

βœ… It was Reddit! They totally loved it :)

Let me share the details! ThreadπŸ‘‡πŸ½

Scale: 2.flexiple.com/scale/all-illu…
1/ Don't rely only on Product Hunt πŸ™πŸ½

Got to say this:

πŸ™ŒπŸ½ Sure, Product Hunt is great

πŸ™„ But it is also quite unreliable

πŸ˜‘ Random "spam triggers", articles launched as products, etc.

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ You've got to diversify

πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ I say this as a person who was himself too reliant on PH
2/ So, let's talk about Reddit 😍

Firstly, find the right subreddit:

😑 Most subreddits aren't supportive of link drops

πŸ₯³ But "r/InternetIsBeautiful" encourages it

πŸ’ͺ🏽 It's massive with 15mn+ members

πŸ€— People are quite supportive

πŸŽ‰ Many past posts had become super viral
3/ Keeping it simple πŸ˜‹

😬 Noticed most headlines simply conveyed the offering

❌ No buzzwords, no marketing copy

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ Also, a couple of past viral posts had phrased it as "I made..."

πŸš€ Overall, something phrased as a list did well
4/ So, I implemented it πŸ‘‡πŸ½

βœ… I phrased it simply, starting with "I made 100 high-quality illustrations, totally free."

❌ So, no mention of:

🎨 A color picker

πŸ” Easy search & gender filters

πŸ––πŸ½ Illustration styles

πŸ”§ Product built in NoCode, etc.
5/ Then the virality 🀯

In total:

βœ… 24,400 upvotes

βœ… 704 comments

βœ… ~147,000 users

What that they liked:

πŸ‘ŒπŸ½ Illustrations were actually great

πŸ†“ Yet being given for free

πŸ₯³ That too w/o attribution

😊 Maybe, the generosity of it?

6 months of personal brand building on LinkedIn. Here's what I learntπŸ‘‡πŸ½

πŸͺ™Treasure trove of inbound leads

πŸ‘ŒπŸ½Needs consistent quality posts

😲Quality required, but not enough

πŸ€•Many best practices to be followed

Let me share what those are. ThreadπŸ‘‡πŸ½

#Entrepreneurship Image
1/ Quality & type of content πŸ“°

✊🏽 Obvious, but quality is important - it defines your brand

πŸ˜‘ Even poor content gets loads of likes

❌ But, they are not the leads you want

So, how do you define your content? πŸ€”
2/ Quality & type of content πŸ“° (contd.)

A) Choose your niche

πŸ‘‰πŸ½Content variety is fine, if your theme is consistent

B) Your content is an intersection of:

😍What your target audience finds interesting

πŸ€“What you're passionate about & have knowledge in

Built another workflow for Flexiple in 6 hours using #NoCode!

Stack
1. @webflow
2. @MemberstackApp
3. @airtable
4. @integromat

Workflow
1. Project approved by our team
2. Details shown in a dashboard
3. Freelancers apply
4. Our team gets the list

How? ThreadπŸ‘‡πŸΌ

a. Airtable is the primary database. Project details are added/edited by our team here.

Just launched my first personal effort on @ProductHunt - my newsletter! It gets even better - it is currently trending at #1 :).

Here's a bit about myself and the newsletter πŸ‘‡πŸ»
I started my career about 8 years back in IB at J.P. Morgan. I worked there for 3 years, but that life wasn't for me :/

Ever since, I've been building my startups and feel that I've finally found my calling. I enjoy "going to work" and that continues to bewilder my friends :P
As entrepreneurs, we have about 95% failures and 5% successes (at least in my experience). While we hear about the successes, we often don't hear about the things that went wrong.

And even if we do, they are about the Musks and Jobs of the world.
