#BREAKING from Ontario's auditor general's report:

"The Chief Medical Officer of Health and other public health officials did not lead Ontario’s response to COVID-19." Story coming soon on @globeandmail #onpoli
Dr. David Williams, chief medical officer of health, "did not fully exercise his powers" under the Health Protection and Promotion Act; it was the province, not him, that issued emergency order in Oct. to require masking for general public: AG #onpoli
Also, did you know there are now 500 people (!) involved in the Health Command Table? #onpoli
I'm not sure the Liberals should be too gleeful today. As the AG notes:
"...Much of this was avoidable as Ontario failed to act on key lessons identified after the 2003 SARS outbreak that had not been implemented." #onpoli
"Public health reform recommended about 15 years ago by the SARS commission had not been fully acted on:" AG #onpoli
