(1/11) I've been posting on Reddit for a couple of months to promote my side-gig Thechecklist.io

The trick is: most Reddit groups don't allow self-promotion.

Here is what I'm doing to bypass that rule 👇

(2/11) #1 - Don't Copywrite, do content marketing.

👉 Copywriting = making a post that looks like an ad.

With a lot of space.

In a salesy way.

Like this.

Not only you will be insulted by other Reddit users, but you risk being banned. Write as you would talk to a friend.

(3/11) #2 - Your goal is to funnel people from Reddit, to your website.

However, don't mention your brand/ company or project on the post itself. You'll be banned/ insulted.

Instead, make sure your post is good enough to generate clicks on your Reddit Profile.

(4/11) #3 - Use your Reddit profile to bring traffic to your website. People that like your article will click on your profile:

👉Attractive Prof Pic
👉 Mention your company website on your Reddit Profile description
👉 Make a nice Profile Cover Picture that refers to your brand

(5/11) #4 - Long posts convert/ get more upvotes than short posts. Write at least 1000 words articles.

However, be straight to the point.

Make a TLDR section at the end of each post.

(6/11) #5 - Find a list of all relevant groups to post on.

Don't publish at the same time everywhere (it looks like spamming). Keep in mind your timezone. Publish during peak hours.

(7/11) #6 - Do A/B testing with the titles of your posts. A good post with a bad title won't bring you any traffic.

Distribute the same post with a slightly different title everywhere.

DISTRIBUTION IS KEY.

(8/11) #7 - Identify what are the best groups to post on depending on their/your audience (check what people are talking about). Make it interactive => ask questions at the end of the post.

i.e: don't publish growth hack techniques in a copywriting group. It won't work.

(9/11) #8 - Answer all the comments on your post. It's really important.

Even the negative ones.

I've learned more from bad comments than compliments. Keep your calm. Turn each bad comment into an opportunity to show the community that you're open-minded.

(10/11) #9 - DM every person that comments on your post. Redirect them to your website.

(11/11) #10 - "Check out "thechecklist.io" and subscribe to my newsletter!"

Don't try to bring traffic that way. It's not genuine.

Be original in your approach to funnel people from social media platforms to your website : ) 🙈
