๐WHO has made a conditional recommendation against the use of remdesivir in hospitalized #COVID19 patients, as there is currently no evidence that remdesivir improves survival or reduces need for ventilation in these patients.
A conditional recommendation is issued when the evidence around the benefits and risks of an intervention is less certain. In this case, there is a conditional recommendation against the use of remdesivir for #COVID19 at present.
This does not rule out an interventionโs benefit, instead, it means that there isnโt enough evidence to support the use of remdesivir for #COVID19.
