🆕WHO has made a conditional recommendation against the use of remdesivir in hospitalized #COVID19 patients, as there is currently no evidence that remdesivir improves survival or reduces need for ventilation in these patients.

👉bit.ly/3lROk1c
A conditional recommendation is issued when the evidence around the benefits and risks of an intervention is less certain. In this case, there is a conditional recommendation against the use of remdesivir for #COVID19 at present.

👉bit.ly/3lROk1c
This does not rule out an intervention’s benefit, instead, it means that there isn’t enough evidence to support the use of remdesivir for #COVID19.

Developing safe and effective #COVID19 vaccines is a huge step forward. Then the next challenge will be to deploy vaccines across the 🌍 to all the vulnerable and high-risk groups at the same time.

A vaccine will not stop the pandemic, vaccination will. #ACTogether
