Here (again) is my deep dive into #Med4America, the universal healthcare coverage bill introduced by @rosadelauro & @RepSchakowsky, endorsed by @BetoORourke, which is largely based on @amprog's #MedicareExtra4All proposal:

Furthermore, @KamalaHarris' own universal healthcare plan from the primaries (which she also branded "Medicare for All", much to Bernie's dismay) shared many similarities with #Med4America & #MedExtra4All.

Of course, even if Dems flip *both* GA Senate seats in January, nothing *close* to M4All, MedExtra4All *or* Med4America is gonna get passed before 2023 anyway; we'll be very lucky to get #BidenCare passed in anything close to its' current form, which makes this a bit academic.

For those wondering why: Because they'd only have a bare majority in the Senate (50 + Harris as the tie-breaker) *and* Manchin has already stated point-blank he won't vote to kill the filibuster.

That means any healthcare bill will require at least *some* GOP support. 1/

A handful of GOP Senators might go along with #BidenCare...but even then they'd likely insist on watering it down. The Public Option would likely be done via Medicare Advantage, for instance, and so on.

#BidenCare would STILL be a massive upgrade from the status quo, mind you.

NOTE: I know there's some stuff the Dems could do via reconciliation, but it's not a magic wand. There are limits *and* they may need to use it for other pressing policies instead.

Plus, there's a handful of *Dem* Senators for whom Med4America or MedExtra may still go "too far".
