Another 525,600 minutes, another #GivingTuesday thread. This year has been especially difficult for so many due to COVID. Find a cause that speaks to you and please consider giving, if you can. Here are some of the orgs we’re donating to: (1/6)

Doreen Montalvo was the first actress to audition for In The Heights in the basement of the Drama Book Shop in 2002. The first one. She sang La Lupe's Qué Te Pedi and embedded herself in my heart in an instant. Her voice was had that tear in it--that lágrima. Inimitable & hers.
She played Benny's mom Alma that first year. We cut the role. So she played Camila, then Daniela, then Abuela, and by 2007 she was so invaluable to us that she covered all those roles both Off and On Broadway, in addition to her onstage role, who @quiarahudes named "Cuca."
If you know In The Heights, you KNOW her voice. She sings,
"Mira, Nina, no me preocupo por ella" in Breathe.
She sings, "No te vayas,
Si me dejas,
Si te alejas de mi, seguiras en mis recuerdos para siempre.
Para siempre. Para siempre..."
In honor of #Hamileve we have new 🔥 @Prizeo prizes for you at RaiseUpFund.com raising $$$ for orgs serving Black and immigrant communities, including the @HispanicFed Emergency Assistance Fund. All experiences we can safely enjoy during social-distancing. Threaaaaad...

My friend Fran Eppy died peacefully in her sleep this weekend.
If you saw Heights or Hamilton you met her.
She was an usher at the Rodgers.
& she was my surrogate abuela at the theater after my abuelas passed.
(it’s a miracle I even have this pic, she hated her picture taken) 1/2
No matter what was going on, I could escape backstage to talk to Fran (“Lin are you eating? I worry...”) She made me laugh so hard & treated me like family from the day we met in 2008. Her son shared this pic w me.
I love her and I’m gonna miss her a lot. Rip Fran Eppy.💔
(If any cast or crew from any Rodgers shows over the past 30 some-odd years wanna reach out to her family directly, I can put you in touch)
Spent 3 hours making a scavenger hunt for my kids that they solved in 15 minutes. That’s how scavenger hunts work.
BUT!
Then Sebastian spent the afternoon making DADDY a scavenger hunt
(This thread might be forever, 1/?)

Hi, can I interest you in a tv show where folks our age and OLDER reunite to remount their high school musicals in just five days?
It’s like a weekly Waiting For Guffman. For real.
Thanks for stopping. I have clips!
An Encore! Thread:
Last week they did Oklahoma! and in this clip, this lady recounts how the director, her MOTHER (!) told her to practice kissing in a closet with her co-star until they were good at it (the zoom is mine, not the show’s)
I’ll let this clip speak for itself, except to say, “JIM, STOP.” has become the new family catchphrase in the Miranda household:
