"Rosen...is an American lawyer who is the current United States Deputy Attorney General. Prior to assuming his current role, he was a senior partner at the law firm Kirkland & Ellis and was the United States Deputy Secretary of Transportation."
"His nomination to become the second-highest law enforcement official was unusual, as Rosen had no previous prosecutorial experience. Attorney General William Barr had urged Trump to choose Rosen as his deputy."

"Change" could mean whatever sort of change the voter wanted it to mean.
"Yes We Can" was a similarly generic call for taking action. It wasn't tied to any one specific policy.
"Defund the Police" taken on its own would appear to mean...defunding the police.
"But it doesn't LITERALLY mean removing all funding from police departments!"
OK, but: 1. If you have to explain that...you've already lost. 2. There actually are some DTP activists who really do mean literally that, and they muddy up the water for the rest of the movement.
Bernie has been using the phrase "Medicare for All" for years...yet huge chunks of the population still assume "Medicare" means "current Medicare w/premiums, co-pays & deductibles" and that "...for All" means that it'd be voluntary, not mandatory.
Note: I wrote up my analysis of Medicare Extra for All (#MEFA) back in February 2018, and in May 2019 I wrote an analysis of the House bill largely based on it, #MedicareForAmerica, sponsored by @rosadelauro & @RepSchakowsky. 2/
Full disclosure: From June 2019 - last month, I was contracted w/@amprog to do part-time healthcare analysis. However, my analyses of both #MEFA & #MedicareForAmerica were done prior to this, and this thread is being written after my contract expired) 3/
AGAIN: I'm not a huge fan of the guy, but like it or not, ANY federal legislation will almost certainly require Joe Manchin's blessing to get signed into law whether Dems flip the GA Senate seats or not.
Posting posting photos of him being glared at isn't going to change that.
Manchin has already stated that killing the filibuster is a non-starter. He's proposing a different rule in which any legislation which has bipartisan Senate support (via a committee) would have to be given a floor vote, which would at least be a partial improvement, I suppose.
This, again, is why I'm guessing the full #BidenCare proposal is unlikely to make it through. The #ACA2.0 part probably would, however.
A full PO is unlikely. Lowering the Medicare buy-in age to 60 is a possibility (which I suspect is why Biden included it in the first place).
The movie I had the most fun with was probably Arachnophobia w/Jeff Daniels.
I’d occasionally stand in the back of the theatre with a fishing pole with a big rubber spider tied to the end of the line. I’ll let you fill in the rest.
Once I accidentally spliced reels 3 & 4 of “Patch Adams” out of order. The saddest part is it was two weeks before anyone noticed, which was especially surprising given that a major character dies during the 4th reel. Not sure what the audience though had happened.
Long-time readers may recall "BUT HOW MANY HAVE *PAID*???" was a HUGE talking point back in 2014. The GOP was *obsessed* w/claiming that only 2/3 of ACA exchange enrollees paid their first premium.
This was always bullshit--it was at least 85% even that 1st, chaotic year. 1/
I wrote numerous analyses over the years showing that it was more like 90%...and last year, I was proven correct...by the Trump Admin of all sources: 2/ acasignups.net/19/08/16/five-…
No actual nudity, but my best friends father thought it would be a great idea to take two 9-yr old boys to see “Alien” at the theatre in 1979. Aside from the trauma of the chest-burster scene, there was also Sigourney Weaver in her underwear near the end, if that counts...
Oh, wait...I thought it came out later, but I actually saw Animal House the prior summer at a drive-in. I think my parents completely misinterpreted the ad campaign and had no idea what it was about.
They also took us to a double feature of “Grease” and “Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart’s Club Band.” Yes, the godawful Bee Gees movie. Yes, the one with George Burns as Mr. Kite.
