December is when we typically spend time w/family, friends & colleagues - potlucks, school performance & fam dinners. It’s been a long, hard year & I know how important these holidays are. But in a year that is anything but typical – how we celebrate won’t be typical either.(4/7)
We don’t know exactly what restrictions will be in place during the holidays. But, holiday gatherings have previously lead to increases in cases/outbreaks. We are still feeling impacts from Thanksgiving gatherings. It only takes 1 case to start an outbreak. (5/7)
We should all prepare for a different holiday season & think of creative ways to celebrate safely. It is best to assume we will still be limiting contact with anyone outside our households as much as possible & larger get-togethers will likely need to be virtual. (6/7)
This will be the year for getting together remotely, or having small outdoor activities where we can keep our distance. The options we have will depend on what we all do now. We all have the power to collectively bend the curve, and it will take all of us to do so. (7/7)
