The Black Libertarian Walter Williams has died.

I enjoyed his book "South Africa's War Against Capitalism

I was a critic of many of his views on 1) The Confederacy and 2) The Transatlantic Slave Trade.

With that said...

His views on The Confederacy are an abomination and an anathema to me.

Stick To Economics, Professor Williams

There is something deeply disturbing about opinion pieces such as this by Professor Walter Williams.

blackconservative360.blogspot.com/2018/05/stick-…
(Thomas & Walter).

Heres a question to consider...

The two leading black economist for over a decade on the Right are two men who minimize l the impact of slavery on the present.

Is that why they are popular? ImageImage
If so,..

It's not their minds they are after, but a racial narrative that their mind and skin color offer. Twofer -- Two blacks for the price of one? Two black people who say liberals not slavery caused the problem.

Tailor-made for you...
Why this obsession with economist on The White Right, vs. historians in relationship to slavery or race? Is it because some prefer economic excuses vs the darker truth of #whitesupremacy?
The fathers and mothers of Black conservatism aren't always lily-white certified. It isn’t Walter Williams or eveb6 Thomas Sowell! It’s Booker T, Rev. Richard Allen, Malcolm X, Zora Neale Hurston, Alexander Crummel, Carter G. Woodson and Marcus Garvey (many others).
FACT: Historian Harold Cruse called Marcus Garvey's movement (not Walter or Thomas)"the biggest stumbling block to #Communist penetration into Negro life."

They were babies when Marcus said this.

"#Communism robs the individual of his personal initiative and ambition or the result thereof"

-- Marcus Garvey #tcot Image

Slouching Towards White Nationalism

In 1902, a black minister warned the #RepublicanParty about Its slide towards #whitenationalism! He notes the global impact that #whitesupremacy in the party was having on those in #PuertoRico 🇵🇷 & #Philippines 🇵🇭.

Presbyterian Minister, Rev. Francis Grimke, on the Republican Party (speech delivered on Oct 12, 1902):

1/ “A party with such men, as it had in it years ago, may well be called, "The Grand Old Party." I take the term, grand, to apply to the old party— ...
2/ ... the party as it used to be, not to the party as it is today, with its petty little programme of a White Republican Party in the South; the elimination of Negro office-holders in the South, out of deference to white southern sentiment; white supremacy in the Philippines ...
