1/ The Wisconsin Supreme Court has ruled 4-3 against Trump in yet another defeat. The fact that the court was this split, however, is disturbing. It shows that Trump has poisoned a great many people with his lies, his propaganda, and his fascism. jsonline.com/story/news/pol…
2/ We must be vigilant because even with the Electoral College formally electing Biden today, Trump and his cronies will continue fighting. Reports have surfaced that GOP Congresspeople are going to attempt to block the officially tally on January 6. nytimes.com/2020/12/13/us/…
3/ There are also reports of electors in Wisconsin and elsewhere receiving death threats. Stephen Miller has claimed that an "alternate slate of electors" is meeting today and sending their votes for Trump to Washington. thehill.com/homenews/campa…
4/ These "alternate electors" have, of course, zero legal authority. The only time something even close to this has happened was the election of 1876, where several southern states sent 2 slates of electors because they refused to accept a GOP win. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1876_Unit…
5/ This is treason and sedition, plain and simple. Anyone who supports this is a traitor to this country and to democracy itself. If the GOP can't choose democracy over party, then they no longer have a right to exist or to have any power whatsoever.
6/ It's time for us all to stand up for our country. We can no longer "avoid sides" or "remain neutral". It's either the country or its death. The GOP wants to destroy this country and everything we value and believe in simply to keep their Dear Leader in power.
7/ This isn't hyperbole or exaggeration. Look at the articles posted above; they are actively engaging in treason and sedition against our country. Don't believe me? Read on for the definitions of both terms as written in the U.S. Code.
8/ 18 U.S. Code § 2381. Treason
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned . . .
9/ . . . not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
10/ 18 U.S. Code § 2384. Seditious conspiracy
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war . . .
11/ . . . against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they . . .
12/ . . . shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

I'd also argue that they are violating at least 3 other parts of the U.S. Code, such as Inciting Rebellion, Advocating Overthrow of the Government, and Misprision of Treason.
13/ 18 U.S. Code § 2383. Rebellion or insurrection
Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or . . .
14/ . . . imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
15/ 18 U.S. Code § 2385. Advocating overthrow of Government
Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any . . .
16/ . . . State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government; or
17/ Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, . . .
18/ . . . desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to do so; or

Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or . . .
19/ . . . encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof—
20/ Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.
21/ If two or more persons conspire to commit any offense named in this section, each shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the . . .
22/ . . . United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.
23/ 18 U.S. Code § 2382. Misprision of treason
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States and having knowledge of the commission of any treason against them, conceals and does not, as soon as may be, disclose and make known the same to the President or to some judge . . .
24/ . . . of the United States, or to the governor or to some judge or justice of a particular State, is guilty of misprision of treason and shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than seven years, or both.
25/ These are just SOME of the crimes the GOP is guilty of. Trump's attempt to stay in power is nothing less than a coup, and it will fail. But such a thing could happen again if we don't take steps to prevent it. Everyone involved should be charged.
26/ Everyone with knowledge of this plot should be charged, even if they had nothing to do with it. The GOP, if it wants to survive, MUST cast out all of these traitors and despots. If they do not, then they should never be allowed to hold power again.
27/ We are closer now to losing our democracy than we've ever been. Some within the GOP (including the Texas Republican Party) are even talking of civil war and secession, which are also acts of treason and sedition.

Enough is enough. We can longer tolerate this sedition.
28/ I urge everyone to write their representatives and Senators, regardless of their party affiliation, to demand that they stand up and publicly denounce this seditious, traitorous coup. Every single elected leader must be on public record stating their position.
29/ Any who support this coup should immediately resign or be removed from office. Anyone who refuses to take a side is tacitly endorsing this coup and should immediately resign or be removed from office. They cannot hide behind the guise of neutrality any longer.
30/ You're either with this country, or you're against it, and Trump and his cronies are clearly against it. It's time for everyone, but most especially our leaders, to decide where they stand. #TrumpIsATraitor #GOPTraitors #SeditionAndTreason
31/ A GOP legislator in Michigan was removed from his Committee assignments today after he suggested that there may be violence against electors. He has since issued a statement stating his support for sending an "alternative slate of electors" for Trump. freep.com/story/news/pol…
32/ How much more evidence do people need that the GOP is actively trying to overthrow our democratically elected government? How much more evidence do people need to see that this is sedition and treason at the highest level? #GOPSedition #GOPTraitors
33/ It's official. The GOP is now the party of seditious traitors. Georgia officially awarded its votes to Biden per the election results, but Republicans are sending their own slate of electors. The last time this happened was 1876.

1/ The only thing more disgusting than the GOP's refusal to break with the most corrupt president we've ever had is their utter contempt and hatred of the brave civil servants without whom our country could not function. These people keep us safe and secure, working without . . .
2/ . . . recognition or thanks. They work incredibly long hours at difficult jobs, often for very little pay. They suffered greatly during the last government shutdown. They are truly the unsung heroes of our country.
3/ But to the GOP, they're lower than something you scraped off your shoe. Through these hearings, they've constantly lambasted them as "faceless, nameless bureaucrats", and suggested that they're part of the non-existen "Deep State".

1/ A lot of people rightfully complain that far too many Congresspeople are in Congress for decades, and such a thing should never happen. It's actually antithetical to the the vision the founders had for our country.
2/ But it just dawned on me that the people who seem to be most vocal about people being in Congress for far too long are generally Republicans. So, on a hunch, I did a quick Google search to find the seniority of current Reps & Sens. Here's the House:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seniority…
3/ Here's the list of Senate Seniority: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seniority…

Notice any patterns in the two lists? 3 of the 5 most senior Reps and 4 of the 5 most senior Sens are Republicans. 50% of the top 10 in both houses are Republicans. 50% of the top 20 in the Senate are GOP.

1/ #MoscowMitch and the GOP said today that they intent to wait to act on the gun violence epidemic until Trump tells them what he will sign. McConnell specifically suggested today that the only way to make a law is for the president to sign it.
2/ THIS IS FALSE.
Article One, Clause Two of the Constitution reads, in part, as follows: "Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he . . .
3/ . . . shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall . . .
