YL/GR delays due to a report of a person on the northbound track @ Gallery Place. #wmata

Based on preliminary info from #wmata ROCC radio the person was not hit by a train. Unsure how/why they were on the trackbed, however.
#wmata is beginning the process of 3rd rail power restoration and will be ending single-tracking within the next ~5-10 minutes.

#wmata tired to bring down 3rd rail @ Gallery Place so track personnel could clean up the tracks from this afternoon's incident, but power did not de-energize as expected.

At 12:32 the operator of OR/910 acknowledged permission to berth @ McPherson Square and noted a red signal ahead.

At 12:35 the train entered the McPherson Sq interlocking and caused a red signal violation.

#wmata is restoring service @ McPherson Square on the OR/SV/BL lines after an earlier red signal violation. Safety, Track, and ATC personnel have finished their initial investigation and found minimal/no damage.

Yellow/Green line delays inbound @ Fort Totten due to unexpected loss of 3rd rail power. #wmata
#wmata Yellow/Green Line trains are single-tracking around an area of track that is currently w/o 3rd rail power (down unexpectedly). Southbound Green Line train 502 is stick at the moment, unable to move, between Fort Totten and Georgia Ave b/c of this.

A kitten has been reported on the roadway @ Fort Totten; trains are single-tracking around.

The kitten is laying on a lightbulb "trying to stay warm" next to the inbound Yellow/Green track at Fort Totten, per #wmata radio. Trains continue to single-track via the outbound track. Did somebody at CSX let Chessie out and forget to check the fence for holes?

I was chatting with a ROCC source back in September after Woodruff was moved and Wiedefeld announced the lawfirm investigation. I asked if they & peers would be comfortable talking with the lawfirm for its investigation. The answer was "no"

Not being able to substantiate claims made by various ROCC staff doesn't mean those events didn't exist.
Personally curious to see what "exoneration" of Woodruff and Harris mean to #wmata employees, morale, and their perception of the safety/HR reporting processes.
