Let's consider the pardons telephonathon at the White House for a moment...

a brief thread. I think I can keep this brief. But we'll see :-)

So Trump has a spreadsheet of requests for pardons. Most of those are from Trump 'supporters'. Who clearly KNOW they've done something wrong that needs a pardon.

Let's assume Trump is so dumb & desperate for cash (to pay interest on his $1.1B debt)..

..assuming Trump is so dumb to issue about 100 pardons to his various co-conspirators, what would happen?

First, all who receive pardons & accept them, will in a legal sense admit their guilt. ALL are then unable to use '5th Amendment' protections

So in any crime they were involved - they can be called to testify (also in Congressional hearings) - and they HAVE to tell the truth, and cannot refuse to testify, or else, they have committed a new crime - and go to jail for that refusal.

If some 100 people around Trump have asked for pardons - there are SEVERAL hundred who were involved. If a court case (or Congressional hearing) reveals such crime with a few members pardoned - the OTHERS will do time. And THEY WILL SING to reduce time

That means the Trumpomobster gang will be engaged in a race of confessions, who can possibly confess the most, the fastest, to get best deals from FBI

So, those pardoned will be forced to testify to their OWN guilt & identify ALL others ALSO guilty

Then Trump? He's involved in most of the crimes he now would have pardoned those who acted on Trump's behalf.

They will all be FORCED to reveal Trump ordered or asked them to do whatever they did. It ADDs to Trump's OWN list of crimes he's conducted.

Then consider the pardoned. They have to pay Trump a bribe to get their pardons. That is how Trump rolls. Trump will almost certainly try to pardon HIMSELF (that will fail in SCOTUS) but this is not about Trump. This is of the 100 guilty. As they paid..

As the pardoned will have paid bribes to Trump in exchange of the pardon - that makes the PARDON ITSELF invalid. Trump cannot SELL governmental actions. He was impeached for far lesser extortion of Ukraine. These corrupt pardons will go to SCOTUS

And perhaps some will survive but certainly PART of the corrupt pardons will be struck down as illegal abuse of Presidential power - via bribing. Like Illinois Gov Blagojevich selling a Senator seat. It is clearly illegal

So the pardoned have to pay Trump. Then confess their crimes in courts/hearings. Then rat out all including Trump. THEN have their own pardon REVOKED. And be prosecuted on a CONFESSION. And then do the time
