The remarkable part was done by the Democrats. The shameful awful terrible part is that this took this long to happen because of Republicans, and at the end of the day, Americans in need will get a paltry and pathetic $600.
Once again, thank the Democratic Party for all they have done for Americans in need. And never ever say both parties are the same. Only one party is working hard every day for working people.
At the end of the day, there are real life consequences for people.
And one more thing. $600 is not a lot. It's something but not nearly enough. We all know.

But Democrats can and should make clear that when we win those 2 Senate seats in Georgia, more relief is on the way thanks to a Democratic Senate, House & President.

Republicans are taking a victory lap on the basis of this Covid relief bill & using the opportunity to blame Nancy Pelosi for not helping people sooner. DO NOT let them get away with this misinformation. Speaker Pelosi & Democrats did their job & passed the Heroes Act months ago.
Pelosi & the Democratic House passed the Heroes Act MONTHS ago. We didn't get a bill sooner because of the Republican-led Senate. McConnell in October warned against making a stimulus deal as Pelosi & Mnuchin made progress. See here: washingtonpost.com/us-policy/2020…
And one more thing -- don't let reporters get away with continuing this specious narrative. They know better yet they persist in presenting McConnell as some sort of strategic genius while making Pelosi responsible for his intransigence...& cruelty.

Late last night mainland time, shortly after sunset Hawaii time, I tweeted this:

I'd like to detail what happened in this thread.
I live in a mixed occupancy community on the ocean. Some locals like me. And some units that get rented out to tourists, which may be owned by part-time mainlanders. The grilling area is community-based and shared. /2
I wanted to go to California for Thanksgiving to see my sisters, brothers in law, & MOST IMPORTANTLY!! my nephews and my niece. But I decided to stay my ass home alone to be pandemic-responsible. /3

A teacher with MS is asking Biden a question about vaccines with regard to his compromised immune system; he says, "I love teaching, but I don't want to die." Biden is clearly moved & answers comprehensively, showing understanding of vaccine development. #BidenTownHall
The contrast between Biden and Trump could not be more clear. Biden's face shows his empathy; his words show his command of the issues. Biden is a man of the people suited to the presidency, the other is a monster.
Biden is responding to a healthcare worked who is making $15 an hour & is economically struggling; he shows really clearly that he understands Main St versus Park Ave. Says $15 an hour is not enough for a living wage. Then segues into the need for mental health. He's so good!

Good Lord. Trump is saying that the CDC's sworn testimony that a vaccine would not be available before 3rd quarter next year is wrong. Trump is literally saying that a vaccine will be ready soon. The irresponsibility of this contradiction by the president is shocking.
Do not blow past this. Do not become inured to this.
The president is LYING to Americans about a vaccine. Treat it with the gravity it deserves.
Also, please don't @ me to tell me I should not be shocked.
I never want to NOT be shocked.

"I trust scientists. I trust vaccines. I DON'T TRUST DONALD TRUMP! And at this moment, the American people can't either." - @JoeBiden speaking from Delaware

Asked if this statement might undermine confidence in science, Biden says no: trust the scientists.

Biden emphasizes that his point of view is in line with the majority of Americans who are not certain about an insufficiently tested vaccine, and reminds people of all the crazy remedies Trump advocated.
Asked about a mandatory mask mandate, Biden notes that Trump at his townhall last night said he (Biden) didn't institute a mandate.

Biden stage whispers: "I'm not the president, he's the president."

Tomorrow is Sept. 11. As a reminder, this fucker wanted to invite the Taliban to Camp David for peace talks on the last Sept. 11.

I will vote for Biden who was part of the administration that got Bin Laden because I am a national security voter.
No word or action on those Russian bounties on US soldiers' heads in Afghanistan, so I guess it makes sense that the president is "getting along well" with terrorists. On the eve of Sept 11.

Tomorrow is Sept 11 & it is going to be insufferable watching conservatives fake concern for lost lives while they support a president who doesn't give a shit about US citizens dying of coronavirus or US troops hunted in Afghanistan thanks to his pal Vlad.
