#Covid19 -15 years. Outcome?
Johnson and Trump
vs Blair and Bush

TLDR

UK Cabinet selected for competence over loyalty not vice verse. Step change in planning, action, communications
Bush crisis response after Katrina fail was strong

not perfect but none of the mistakes/lies Image
Longer points.
It's hard to imagine Blair's senior advisor cooking up a herd immunity plan in Jan/Feb to allow the virus to roll across the UK.

Or that Blair wouldn't bother to turn up to Covid briefings

Or that he wouldn't look at the detail

And Reid the bruiser was in Health
No Hancock-esque caught in the headlights from Reid.

Blair's popularity was shot by then, hated due to war dead. Would people have rallied round?

Even with that article concludes likely more than Johnson, since he wouldn't have been thin on detail or communication.
The Blair Government by then (vs the first term) was unafraid of being authoritarian.
- airports and quarantines would have been checked
- shutdowns would have been swift, stern

And of course, they were pragmatic to the point of alienating the left, so no Brexit distractions.
Bush response to disasters was mixed but improved considerably after 911 and Katrina

There would not have been mask denial, covid denial, federal supplies would not have been held back.

None of the crazy inconsistent and wild policy swings. And no let's not help Blue States.
Finally international cooperation would have been better, more aligned, better planned and probably more consistent.

If, unlike the article, we let them have today's science and tech would the outcome be better, faster?

Hard to imagine it worse.
So what do you think?

Which pair would come out better?
And should I do another paired PM President?

A story of Mafia Integrity

You've heard bits of this
Funds offshore
Don't invest in the UK
Companies and factories moved out
Henry viii powers used to vanish Tax evasion and money laundering law

But the mafia at the heart of the Conservative party just got started.
Brexit deals may be closing, but the "brains" behind it,
whose gift is decades of damage,
who moved assets to profit from that damage
Is tightening its grip.

These are not the people to trust to decide our future or trade.

Unless you want it stolen
The examples
Tax evasion
Offshore funds
Currency speculation.

They're all a little distant.

So what about some examples closer to you or me?

Your word is your bond. Your promise is your reputation.

How do they build that reputation for our country?

So, Brexit is coming.

My top 10 Brexiter promises that will NOT be delivered by Brexit. Words to the contrary from Brexiters assumed.
Applies to any form of deal or no deal.

And that's a cast-iron guarantee you can engrave on a Bus, threaded below Image
1. Sovereignty - we’ll have less of it, less control of it, and be less able to control our destiny. Because sovereignty doesn't control destiny, leverage does. And we gave all ours away, claiming No Deal was a good idea (see Negotiation for Dummies). 1/19
2. Independence - since we always had it, Brexit can only make things worse. And it delivers, with Moggs on.
As the only trade bloc non-aligned country in the world, we’ll be screwed over left right and centre, taking a lot of rules and taking control of none of them. 2/19

USA outraged
Trump fails to manage Coronavirus, over 3000 deaths a day. He has overwhelmed hospitals as we feared here

At the same time.

Is still trying to TAKE AWAY health care from people.

BAD GOVERNMENT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE

Angry?
Have you considered UK is WORSE?⏬
For all Trump's mismanagement of the US, it is a decentalised country that can rely on wiser local decisions.

The UK is the reverse.
And the horrible failed centralisation of things like Test&Isolate have pushed OUR per capita deaths HIGHER even than Trump's US

but there's more
In the middle of all this death the Johnson Mafioso Government is doing the same as Trump. Undermining our health system.

Supplies of diagnostic medicines
Cancer treatment
Insulin
And even #Covid19 vaccines are all at risk.

We can't even guarantee their import.

Why?

Excuse the following:

WE ARE VERY LUCKY THE ONLY EFFECT OF THIS MUTATION IS HIGHER RATES OF TRANSMISSION.

Because it could have been much worse, it could make the new vaccines redundant.

Who says mutation can only happen once?

A thread to explain⏬
I started to talk about the risk of Viral Mutation on 23rd March. That long ago we knew enough.

We all now have a much better understanding of viruses it's worth recapping the risks of mutation, and the implications.

And why I fear Johnson risks another.
For background reading not covered here ⏬ a long backstory and history on why viral suppression is so crucial.

At the time Trump and Johnson were rewriting all our learnings over 20 years from HIV

TLDR: they were worsening chances of mutation

1/ If we don't resist authoritarianism now, when will we, asks the radio?

Here are 5 times we did & the media were absent, complicit:

1. Conservative manifesto.
2. Covid19 enabling act
3. Legalise bribery act
4. licence to kill act
5. Corporate Manslaughter switch

Sources⏬
2/ 1. Conservative Manifesto
Ironically if anyone should have been screaming about this sordid document, it should have been the libertarian right.
They were silent. Look at the small print.

3/ 2. The Enabling Act
The unbelievable powers written into the original #covid19 emergency powers act

The fun reasons for #freepress.

Accountable democracy
A memory or promises made
Preventing corruption.
Asking why so many died.

That's why we got rid of ours.

UK has a #proxypress 75% owned by Conservative proxies.

That's how this happens instead of doing the right thing⏬
If you think that distorted editorial articles dictated down the phone by owners in tax havens are just fine, then you'll be comforted by this news.

If that strikes you as massive unpaid and undeclared political advertising, then you may be a little less happy.
Luckily you still have a choice.

You can choose NOT to visit the websites of the #proxypress, NOT buy their papers and to NEVER share their articles via social.

Instead, you can support people who will report this [] or this []
