Observe the almost vertical rise in COVid hospital admissions in orange. Even after modest COVid restrictions have been put in place.

This is exponential growth. We need more restrictions to crest the peak. While ICU admissions are not as dramatic, compare them to Thanksgiving.

Compare Calgary and Edmonton.

Observe the region hardest hit in first wave is now the lowest percentage positive.

Is that reduced testing or better behaviour?

Seven local health areas in Edmonton vs two in Calgary. Exact opposite from first wave. Why? How?

Wetaskiwin is the only local health area on an accelerated rise in cases.

But overall Alberta is worst province for COVid per million residents. Worse than Manitoba, worse than Quebec & Ontario.

Because Kenney refused to enact restrictions. And refuses to order restrictions that will actually make a difference.

Observe how vertical the increase in hospitalization in Alberta and Saskatchewan (COVidiot central) are. It’s literally insane the number of people who were infected early to mid December that are now in hospital for Christmas. Christmas shopping? Parties?

This chart speaks volumes. Junior and Senior high school instruction went online November 30, 2020. Cases have not slowed down significantly for elementary aged children, but a more significant drop in 10-19 age range 3 weeks after switch to online.

The highest number of cases are in the 20-49 age ranges. But other graphs I’ve seen rule out workplace transmission which has remained relatively steady and flat. That leaves community or children passing it to parents.

Now look at the date on this “Walk for Freedom” protest against masks. November 23, 2020. Symptoms emerge 5-6 days post exposure. Check the graph for the most vertical spike. Immediately prior to November 30, 2020 modest new restrictions.

But correlation =/= causation. So best not to speculate. But there is a correlation.

Alberta is exploding in COVid cases. It’s being driven by 20-49 year olds. Tracing would be very helpful to know where cases are being acquired.

The people losing their lives are the 70-80+ year olds, yet they make up less than 10% of COVid cases. Those hospitalized are 20-59 year olds. They make up about half of active cases.

It took 261 days to reach 500 deaths.

And 34 days to reach the next 500.

Will it be 14 days to reach the next 500?

Does Kenney care? Will he order a full lockdown? Now that the new COVid variant has been found in Alberta?
