i predict that jenna ellis will be fine. nothing bad ever truly happens to these idiots. it sucks but thats the truth. the only ones who really disappear are like milo, who got deplatformed. but otherwise theyll be fine.
this year we'll probably see people like kellyanne and mcenany sign up for tv and book deals. they'll be cnn employees and on the book circuit. this idea that theyll be pariahs is total fantasy, unfortunately.
this is the kind of thing that gets me labeled an "eeyore" but its literally just what happens. if things change, that's great. but the odds are very against things being different.
i still dont understand that school of thought, tbh. honestly describing what's likely to happen instead of indulging in some liberal fantasy is just not a thing i can do. why live in delusion like that?
theres a market for people who say "omg mcenany and ivanka will be total pariahs! nobody will listen to them ever again!" and i look at my tv and see sarah sanders, ari fleischer and newt gingrich and i say:
i think if we on the left spent more time with real shit instead of fantasy shit ("mueller is coming! sdny is gonna jail trump!") we'd get more done. but its a minority opinion.

there are two current marvel storylines where attempts to make things "realistic" are making the stories "meh." in daredevil he was on trial while wearing his costume, and in ms marvel/champions theres some law outlawing teen superheroes.
also i have to concede my biggest moment of "that wouldn't happen" during captain america: civil war was how the sokovia accords passed through the un in like weeks and the us just signs up to it with no protest? thats less believable than the hulk or thor.
sokovia accords would be endlessly debated in the un, have no teeth and we or russia would veto it in the security council so our superheroes could act with impunity anyway.
suspension of disbelief, etc but so many of batman's problems in gotham would be solved if he just called up his super-powered friends. instead he just lets serial killers pile up their numbers when he could just call in the flash to do a quick search.
conversely, superman is awesome but he's not the best detective. he could just call up batman and go over clues with him instead of constantly being fooled by lex luthor.
(and yes i know, thats not the point because that would ruin the comics. still...)
for an episode with captain jack and daleks the dr who special was kind of a downer. overall the show was ok. im not wild about the doc being down on herself (this is mostly why i didnt like the capaldi run).
i only know dr who from the current run but i think its at its best when theyre like "whee! aliens! time travel! wtf! weird stuff! im clever!" and not so much "what does it all mean?" kinda stuff. which is why my favorite dr is tennant.
my favorite companions are martha jones and graham, followed by amy, rory, and clara. im kina meh on rose tyler and i couldn't stand donna noble.
ill see more than a few of them but the only movies on this list that make my spidey-sense tingle are spider-man, black widow, james bond and mission impossible. the disney movie will prob be good too. variety.com/lists/most-ant…
unless the reviews are off the charts, almost no way i go see the venom movie. the original was so bad.
