STUNNING FOOTAGE—“All coronavirus patients in an ICU in Egypt died after oxygen supply failed”—the oxygen level almost below 2% & neither enough pressure nor enough oxygen. Footage from El Husseineya Central Hospital in Ash Sharqia province. 🧵 #COVID19 middleeastmonitor.com/20210104-egypt…
2) The Director of the hospital, Dr Muhammad Sami Al-Najjar, spoke claiming that the situation was normal. He denied that there was a lack of O2, claiming patients had died from natural causes, from old age or other chronic diseases.
(So the ICU deaths did happen it sounds like)
3) Al Jazeera confirms the story. “Egyptian prosecutors opened an investigation into the deaths on Sunday of **at least four** coronavirus patients at a public Egyptian hospital”
4) The cameraman's aunt, Fatima Al-Sayed Mohamed Ibrahim, 66, was among the patients being treated at the quarantine centre.
Unconfirmed reports he was being detained.
5) Egypt's Heath Minister Hala Zayed claimed that the patients didn't die due to lack of oxygen.
The Governor of Ash Sharqia, Dr Mamdouh Gorab, said four patients, rather than the whole ward, died.
6) Article says, “Also trending was a picture of a nurse wearing her full scrubs, sitting on the floor in the corner of the unit, in shock at what was happening.”
Reports have stated that the nurse was fined for "not working during hard times."
7) “The hospital director and doctors were being questioned, according to an official at the public prosecutor’s office in Cairo who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to brief the media.”
8) “The four dead were two women in their 60s and two men, 76 and 44 years old, according to a local news outlet.”
9) Regarding the nurse—supposedly she was punished for being curled up in the corner. Can’t imagine the trauma.
10) Al Jazeera says: “The deaths follow similar allegations last week that two patients died because of a lack of oxygen at a government-run hospital elsewhere in the Nile Delta.
Prosecutors in Menoufiya have launched an investigation into the cause of the deaths on Friday.”
11) I don’t usually share shocking footage, but there is credibility given there’s now 2 Egyptian ongoing investigations. And we know oxygen supply problem in hospitals has happened in the US too in Los Angeles 👇
12) More on the oxygen crisis in LA hospitals. These hospitals are not alone. Oxygen supply infrastructure in hospitals are at risk. The Egypt story has credibility—it’s almost happening in the US too.
13) A lot of oxygen depletion-related #COVID19 deaths also hit hospitals in Pakistan in December as well. Los Angeles and Egypt are not alone. bbc.com/news/world-asi…

MAGA rioters stormed a group of journalists, and now actively destroying media equipment while shouting “F*ck fake news”. Welcome to Donald Trump’s America.
2) Destroying journalists media equipment is akin to you know what book burning.
Gosh, German 🇩🇪 media is always so damn right. Maybe they’ve see this all before.
BREAKING—Teargas released inside US Congress’s inner Rotunda to stop MAGA insurgents who have breached the building. Members of Congress told to wear their assigned gas masks.
Now the Republicans finally #MaskUp when US Congress has been stormed and penetrated.
⚠️CRUSH VIRUS NOW OR ELSE WE ARE SCREWED: Denmark’s CDC thinks new B117 #SARSCoV2 variant is so much more contagious (R +0.4 to +0.7) & inevitable that **if any country does not crush the R<0.7 now**, we will be completely #COVID19 screwed by Feb/March.🧵 ssi.dk/aktuelt/nyhede…
2) "it is crucial to turn the epidemic curve around and get the reproduction number significantly below 1 in the coming weeks, so that the infection rates are as low as possible when cluster B.1.1.7 becomes the dominant virus in mid-February."
3) Basically, Denmark 🇩🇰’s CDC (@SSI_dk) is so pessimistic that it believes the B117 will inevitably dominate the country and likely the world by Feb/March. And with its higher R of contagiousness, we either stop it now or we are completely screwed by spring time.
📍Shocking videos from Egypt show chaos inside two hospitals as oxygen supplies allegedly ran out, sending people into a panic and leaving at least 6 patients dead.
