Bitterroot Resources Ltd.(51%) and its partner Below Exploration Inc. (49%) are exploring the LM Property for high-grade nickel-copper-platinum-palladium deposits similar to Lundin Mining's Eagle and Eagle East mines in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. $BTT.V 
At Lundin Mining's Eagle Mine and elsewhere in the Mid-Continent Rift region, disseminated sulphides occur around bodies of massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralization. In August $BTT.V released encouraging drill results from a 4-hole 1,411 meter drill program at LM....
Drilling intersected a 5.3 meter interval (4.8 meters estimated true thickness) of mafic/ultramafic rock with disseminated blebs of chalcopyrite, pentlandite and pyrrhotite. This interval grades 0.62% #copper, 0.58% #nickel and 0.327 grams Au+Pd+Pt/tonne. $BTT.V
This area has seen some drilling by Rio Tinto roughly 8-10 years ago and the LM Property actually had a 190 meter intercept of olivine gabbro by Kennecott. Gabbro often contains valuable amounts of chromium, nickel, cobalt, gold, silver, platinum, and copper sulfides.... $BTT.V
Bitterroot raised C$1 million in December and the company will commence a fully funded 6-8 hole 2,400 meter phase 2 drill program at LM in the next 7-10 days. $BTT.V will follow the mineralization down plunge from hole LM20-01 which intersected a magma conduit....
LM is a very intriguing project in an area that hosts Lundin Mining's Eagle and Eagle East Mines. Eagle and Eagle East orebodies are part of the same ultramafic intrusive system that hosts high grade primary magmatic #nickel and #copper sulphide mineralization. $BTT.V
The grade of 100% (massive) sulphide mineralization is estimated to be; 7% #nickel, 8% #copper and 3-4 g/t PGMs. This shows where $BTT.V is targeting the massive sulphide zone down-plunge from LM20-01 (disseminated sulphides)...
$BTT.V will be drilling 300-400 meter holes in the phase 2 program because the dip of the intrusion is flattening at depth, providing a potential trap for the mineralized sulphides... #copper #gold #metals #mining #nickel #palladium #platinum
