I made it on my first neo-Nazi kill list at 15, which I - personally - did not find enjoyable.
I would like others to... not deal with that, because I am a thief of joy.
And this why I enjoy credible voices.
(I don’t want to be hyperbolic so let me put it in perspective: Game of Thrones’ Season 8 is another life experience I could have sat out.)
You know who I really, really want to talk to about this? @mehdirhasan.
I know we’ve got a lot of friends in common, so somebody put me in touch with him.
“What did you DO?”
I was involved in the “Abortion Wars” that killed George Tiller (Christian Identity extremists).
But:
It’s not exactly an achievement, lol. You don’t really have to “do” anything for Nazis to want you dead. Existence kind of ticks that box off for them.
Anyway, feel free to read about my magical teenage years (PSA: it’s intense so don’t @ me to tell me - bc I managed to figure that out all on my own).
Insight into my bad luck of being the Forest Gump of global political violence. #blessed
Here is an easy way to tell if someone is well-versed in far-right movements and should be spouting off right now:
Knowing the Atlanta Olympics bombing / George Tiller’s assassination (IN CHURCH) etc were done by anti-abortionist neo-Nazis (“Christian Identity”).
Hope that helps.
I’m now off to fight with my Qat.
Goodnight!
PS:
I’m really not trying to be rude but consider not lecturing me on how my twisted jokes minimize the threat because fwiw I’m not going to take you and your obvious lack of experience seriously.
I want to save us both the time.

Quick thread on the Capitol siege and media culpability (it's not what you might expect) incoming.
Recently, we've heard A LOT about media culpability for platforming and laundering the ideologies of white supremacists like Richard Spencer. All fair.
I won't rehash the other list of grievances.
But there's another issue that's older: the death of print media and paywalls.
Contemporary media rests on two foundations:
1) access 2) profit
Obviously, the need for each corrupts the entire enterprise. But their convergence raises an urgent problem we need to address ASAP.
