IMPORTANT 🧵: Thank you for your patience as @StLukesHealth works to incorporate today’s updated COVID-19 vaccine groups into our processes for scheduling appointments. We’re working quickly to coordinate with local health districts...
2/ We will provide updates here and on our website as we get more information on when and how the next priority groups can book their appointments at @StLukesHealth for a COVID-19 vaccine. We’re grateful so many of you are eager and ready. stlukesonline.org/blogs/~/link.a…
3/ Until that time, the one thing you can do is get ready. If you haven't set up a @StLukesHealth myChart account yet, you'll want to get started on that. stlukesonline.org/mychart
4/ When it's time, NOT NOW, @StLukesHealth patients can schedule appointments online using myChart for quickest access. People who've never used St. Luke’s may set-up myChart by calling 208-381-9000. Those who can't use myChart may call Connect at 208-381-9500.

A friend sent me this letter Idaho’s Lt. Governor and other leaders have signed against any action @CDHidaho might take tonight to protect our community.
Just a reminder that while some people may think that life just needs to continue as normal without taking steps to protect one another, there are people in Idaho DYING every day and exhausted #healthcareheroes sacrificing and doing everything they can to try to save others.
Before we all start prepping turkeys & making pies, I just want to take a moment to start a thread to share our collective thanks to all our @StLukesHealth#healthcareheroes who have our gratitude this Thanksgiving. If you would like, please add your own thanks in a comment. 💙
THANK YOU to each COVID19 ICU Nurse who holds the hands of someone's loved one because their families can't be there, even when it's time to say goodbye.
We are grateful to every single @StLukesHealth Environmental Services worker who takes care to clean COVID-19 rooms to ensure patients & staff are as safe as they can be, & to keep all areas in the hospital sanitized.
Dr. Jim Souza's answers right now are so raw. He worked in @StLukesHealth Boise COVID-19 ICUs this weekend (Yes, we now have multiple COVID ICUs) and saw first hand the death and sickness. He and @audreydutton are on until 10a.
(Someone's telling Dr. Souza he's "fear mongering, COVID-19 is fake." THE MAN WORKED IN THE ICUS THIS WEEKEND & SAW FOR HIMSELF THE PAIN COVID IS INFLICTING ON OUR COMMUNITY. Why should people believe "Spinner" over a physician living this? What more can we do? Truly. Tell us!)
"Be careful you don't mistake hospitals for a hotel." Dr. Souza warning about hospital capacity and all of the staff out sick with COVID-19 (140 today). "I can put people in beds, but who will care for them?"
To build on Dr. Jim Souza’s letter, he said I could share this video w/ you. During @leadershipboise Tues., @drpatesblog asked him about what’s ahead for him personally & for Idaho hospitals like @StLukesHealth as we face crisis levels. There wasn’t a dry eye when he was done.🧵
Part 1: “Our modeling predicts that in December we’re gonna be pushed to that brink... but regardless whether it’s December or January, it is beyond silly that we need to wait for that to occur in order to stop it. Have we learned nothing?” (9-11 example) @StLukesHealth#Covid19
2: “What are we going to do the day after crisis standards are implemented, sadly? We’re going to implement/enforce mandates. We can wait until after that horrible event happens or take action now, but I’m afraid it feels like we are going to need to be pushed to that brink.”
