#SASSAWC Over the past few days hundreds of beneficiaries have been queuing for hours at various offices to renew their grants. This is the situation today in Gugulethu, some people here have been at the office since 4am. KP

#SASSAWC This pensioner also had a long wait, since 8am. She says people have to wait for long periods outside in the sun, but once you inside it’s relatively quick. KP

#Covid19SA Since the Adjusted Level 3 Lockdown was introduced in December, 7455 citizens were caught not wearing a mask in public. KB

#Covid19SA Cele says ““These arrests were made despite people being told continuously to wear their masks. Wearing a mask is mandatory and people caught without one in public, are committing an offence. Wearing masks is both for your safety and the safety of others around you.”

Zemlin “hopefully the findings of the study will show how the levels of the biomarkers or the changes in levels of biomarkers over time,can predict which patients will have a more serious disease progression and possibly allow us to intervene earlier and prevent this progression”

#COVID19SA The research study will identify biochemical, haematological and immunological biomarkers including novel ones not routinely tested but possibly associated with increased risk of severe illness. KB

Stats SA has just released the manufacturing data November 2020.

Here’s some of the key findings:

Manufacturing production decreased by 3,5% in November 2020 compared with November 2019.

The largest contributions were made by the following divisions:

*petroleum, chemical products, rubber and plastic products

*food and beverages

*basic iron and steel, non-ferrous metal products, metal products and machinery.

Seasonally adjusted manufacturing production decreased by 1,3% in November 2020 compared to the month prior, in October 2020.
