Trying to make a list of all of the claims about #hypocrisy and #doublestandards I've seen this week. Let me know what I'm missing (1/6)

#CapitolRiot #BigTechCensorship #impeachment
(1) From the left: Law enforcement was much more severe toward BLM than toward the White supremacists at the Capitol riot. Alternatively phrased, if the rioters on Wednesday were BLM supporters / were POC, there would be many more wounded/dead/arrested. (2/6)
(2) From the right: When BLM protested/rioted/looted, Dems and the media claimed it's not violent to destruct property, but then when Trump supporters damaged property at the Capitol, suddenly it does count as violence. (3/6)
(3) From the left: People on the right are saying the impeachment is being rushed, but they had no problem nominating and confirming Amy Coney Barrett in a few weeks right before the election. (4/6)
(4) From the right: People on the left are all about breaking up big tech, but suddenly their monopolies are great as long as they are using their power to silence conservatives. (5/6)
(5) From the left: Conservatives supported private companies' freedom to express their ideology when it came to denying baking services to gay couples, but think big tech has to support hate speech and threats of violence. (6/6)
From the right: Leftist wanted to defund the police over the summer, but now are asking where all the cops were.
The cool thing about these accusations is that most of them can be (and are) made in the opposite direction:
(1R) From the right: BLM protestors kept saying there's too much police brutality, but now they're saying the police weren't violent enough.
(2R) From the left: conservatives were so horrified at the rioting over the summer, but now are making excuses for this one.
(3R) From the right: liberals were so concerned about rushing things with Amy Coney Barrett, but they have not problem rushing the impeachment (and so on)
It's interesting. It almost seems like there are more accusations of hypocrisy than there are genuine criticisms of the other side. I know people don't like hypocrisy, but why is everyone obsessed with it? @AcademicChatter #psychtwitter
