In 1 sense, they aren’t behaving much differently than urban men who are also the recipients of disparaging labels “thugs,” social contempt by elites, etc. One difference: urban men are also dehumanized by progressive paternalism & infantilization trapping them in “programs.”
Fact: hurt men, hurt others. It doesn’t matter if they’re white or men of color. Social disgust, dehumanizing paternalism, stigmatyping as “evil,” etc. all tend to end the same: men’s violence. Men’s love language is respect. “Patriot,” “Beast,” “Young King,” function the same.
Politicians nor left/right pundits get it. Stigmatizing/infantilizing lower income residents makes the entire country worse off. If we were smart, we’d be working hard to celebrate the dignity of those aren’t advantaged enough to love Bernie or Charlie Kirk on college campuses.
