Here are the FACTS about the spread of #COVID19: The first confirmed death was in Wuhan, China, on 9 January 2020. By 30th January it had spread to all 31 Chinese provinces, Thailand, Japan, India, the Philippines, Taiwan, S. Korea and the U.S. /1
February 14th 2020: France announced first #coronavirus death in Europe. February 23rd: major surge in cases in Italy. 2nd March: first death from #COVID19 in the UK confirmed; 6th March: more than 20,000 people were tested for #covid-19 in the UK, of whom 163 were positive. /2
6th March 2020: England has 147 cases, with 29 in London, 24 in South East, 22 in South West & 21 in the North West. The North East & Yorkshire had 13 cases, the Midlands had 12, & the East of England has eight. The locations of a further 15 cases was yet to be confirmed. /3
By 6th March (2020) 100,000+ cases of #covid-19 were confirmed worldwide in more than 90 countries. AT THIS POINT, WITH ONLY 147 CONFIRMED CASES OF #COVID19 IN THE UK, we must ask: HOW & WHY did the #ToryGovt get its subsequent response to #Covid19 so badly wrong? /4
The #ToryGovt seems to have been attracted to the concept of "Herd Immunity" in responding to Covid-19. The truth is that Herd Immunity has never been achieved by natural infection - smallpox, polio and measles are examples of this NOT WORKING. /5
So we have to ask: was the hidden agenda of the UK Tory Govt to use #COVID19 to "euthanise" or "thin out" the elderly, chronically sick & homeless - the "economically unproductive" - to create a workforce more "fit & able" to make money for the rich & privileged elite? /6
If so, this is social genocide: #BorisJohnson & his corrupt henchmen in the Cabinet must answer for this. If the Tory Govt's failure in responding to the #COVID19 pandemic is down to incompetence & profiteering by the ToryGovt's cronies - THEY MUST STILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. /7
